No wrong answers. Just your opinion. Let's have a good discussion

I want more with the Kevin faulk mindset.

A player that loves the school. Coaches are going to leave or get fired, its the way it is.
Moses - go to Tuscaloosa BYE
same with Guidry who needs ya

I don't give a shite why someone chooses to come to LSU. If the coaching staff wants them, all I care about is that they end up in Baton Rouge

Ideally
Players who have dreamed of playing for LSU all of their lives and who will be loyal.
Players who have enough confidence in their ability to get to the NFL no matter who coaches them in college.
Reality
It's a business. I get why some players go elsewhere to start earlier, have a better chance to play for championships, or to play for a coach who they feel will better prepare them to get drafted higher.

School, and if we're a recruit it would be where would I feel better playing my next four years with or without the current coach. coaches are like salesman, it's their job till they find a better job. Whatever is whatever and you win some and lose some.
if I would of been blessed with awesomeness, top five would of been Hawaii / Miami / ucla / LSU / Arizona st. No order of course.

If a Recruit is going to a school because of an Assistant then it is definitely the wrong reason as they move around.

I am of the nature where being from Louisiana if I was good enough to play ball at LSU that was all the validation I needed to feel like a champ. Go earn it, rep my state, bring some gold home. I grew up loving 1 university. Leaving conference for a better education is fine, that is a commendable personal decision. Leaving state for a cross division rival solely for football reasons is an act of war against your home state.

There are some things you don't get to decide:
You don't get to decide where you were born or the community that saw you grow. I have an extremely hard time turning my back on my roots. There's just something inside me that embraces my past and causes me to hold that place higher than even the most beautiful places on the earth.
That being said; LSU football is not just a team I like. It's a team that's part of who I am. To turn my back on the Tigers is like turning my back on myself. I didn't choose this life, but it's what I've been given, and it's mine in good times and bad, in victory or defeat. So for me, it's always about the team no matter what.

they need to watch the old marcus spears interview where he talks about negative recruiting in regards to saban possibly jumping ship. said he chose lsu for lsu and not for a coach. he became a tiger with the possibility that saban may bolt for the nfl. he committed to a university and its program. ( yes, saban stayed all 4)

Pride in state and school. LF7 was an excellent example of that.

It's never that black and white, but if answering the question, the school is what most kids grow up dreaming of or wanting to play. The coach and staff or obviously critical in re-assuring the decision.

If LSU were a Dumpster Fire, that would be 1 thing. But acting like there is THAT much difference between getting to the NFL through Bama vs. LSU is just nuts.
He could just as easily, maybe even more easily considering the lack of depth at LSU vs. Bama, get to the NFL through LSU.
At the end of the day, I think he just really wanted to go to Bama and play for Saban and this just gave him his excuse.
Time to move on.

From my perspective, as a fan, I don't care what the recruits motivation is. As long as he ends up at LSU.
A kid will usually grow to love and support their head coach, and will eventually be sad to see them go.
I hope the kid will always love, represent, and play hard for LSU regardless of who the head coach is.

NS will be out at Bama pretty IMHO. He seems like he enjoyed the last couple of ships less and less.
Looks like the stress is taking a toll on him and he is really starting to age.

School first, coach second but both of these things are why we recruited well the past decade. Miles did charm the kids and their parents, however they should see this is a business and the product we are putting out there is now better and the coach is probably just as nice (even he they can't understand him or scares them)
