Jordan Simmons from California and a 6.0 on rivals said that he is going to visit. Also, Alex Kozan from Colorado and a 5.8 on rivals said that he is going to visit. Are they going to take a visit because its LSU or they are interested?

we may get another crack at Riser if texas continues to struggle. I think we would take Riser and get deeper into Desota high school.

Riser for a OC and then we are done. Don't think we take another OL besides Riser. LSU seems to be going hard after the DEs

No interest from dj humphries? I think we are good at oline, but if a top recruit wants to committ, take him.

Yea I think the numbers are against another Olineman. Unless maybe a top caliber guy like D.J. Humphries or Zach Banner. I'm not saying those are true possiblities but the only way we take another OL is if someone of that caliber.

Or like Larry Hollins said Curtis Rider would be a take. Not just for his talent (which is immense) but to get some deeper roots at a school like Desoto would be a great bonus.

But unless he is a top guy I say the numbers say no. I really like our class. Not to toot my own horn but here ate a few of my past post:

6/11/11 Topic- 2012 Class Projections....
OL- I think DEREK EDINBURGH is gonna be a tiger. And though D.J. Humphries or John Theus would be nice, I'd be just as happy with PATRICK MILLER at OT along with Edinburgh and Hawkins. And it be great to get VADAL ALEXANDER and Macho Nacho Garcia who I think both could be dominant guards at LSU but also play OT. I would love those 5 as an offensive line haul. I think those 5 would rival last years OL class.

6/12/11 Topic- Who is on your wish list for must get recruit this year...
Yea I'd like EDINBURGH, VADAL, and macho Nacho to go along with Hawkins. I also like PATRICK MILLER from Florida( I believe has LA ties) a lot if we take 5. I think that would be a stellar group.

6/30/11 Topic- GA Lineman Vadal Alexander has LSU as a leader - #1 OL in GA....
I really like PATRICK MILLER. I think he is goin to be a good one. I was hoping for an O-line class of Hawkins, Vadal, Edinburgh, Macho Nacho, and Patrick Miller. I think that would be a stellar O-line class. I think I read somewhere P MILLER has La ties. Well congrats if yall keep him but it ain't over to they sign that LOI.

That last post I made on the Vadal topic on 6/30 was full of some Auburn fans claiming P Miller was all Auburn and they backed off of Vadal because their OL class was already filling up and that P Miller was already a silent commit Haha. So my "Well congrats if yall keep him but it ain't over to they sign that LOI" was spot on Haha. And like I said not to toot my own horn( to me Haha) but I always liked P Miller and thought highly of his skill set and I'm fully satisfied with our o line class though a Curtis Riser would be a big bonus.

By the way I'm pretty sure we don't have space for Nacho anymore bit I'm curious how is he doin this year and Wuts his status? Is he still sidelined with the injury? Anyone know anything on Nacho Garcia?

Jordan Simmons is a top O-lineman and top 50 on rivals and top 100 on scout and Kozan is top 250 on rivals and only a 3 star on scout

If Simmons or Riser want in then I think the staff would take them.OL is a spot where you can never have too many or too much talent. That said I don't think Simmons will be a guy that wants to come here.Never hurts to try though.

Agreed. Liggens will determine the final composition of the class more than any other athlete.

IF Liggens waits too long to commit, we won't be taking a QB in this class IMHO.

And that won't necessarily be a bad thing.

Great haul as is.

Cassius Marsh....Mr. Homesick was the closest we ever came to getting a guy from Cali, or well I guess Lavelle Hawkins actually signed with LSU.

Without a doubt need to sign a QB. If Mett is as good as I think he will be, he may only play for us the 2012 season then go high in the draft. That will leave us with 2 soph. qbs going into 2013 season, not good. Not saying it is likely but possible and will leave us in a bad situation.

To go wallow in obscurity for a bad Pac-12 team.
