A lot of guys with 5 starts got that way with the hype about their size, and there are usually only 35 5* guys and probably in the ballpark of 200-250 4* guys. Stars matter, but if someone has offers from good schools I would let that weigh more than if they didn't have that 4th star.

I've always been a stars matter guy, look at the amount of 4 and 5* recruits ended up in the first round.

Stars and coaching matter.

Teaching a star to be humble and be their best is very important.

The stars that haven't learned life skills usually falter.

My question, Is that happening at LSU?

yes and no. or maybe the correct answer should be "sometimes".

w/o knowing how many at each star rating were eligible for the draft a simple answer is just not statistically available. BUT, a quick look tells me it's better for a college team to sign as many 4 and 5 star guys as possible.

Yea and I'm obviously the only one...
It appears his argument was building for 4* over 5, which seems fricking retarded but is quite the norm here

Until they invent something to measure heart/desire, there will always be hits and misses.

The difference between a 4* and 5 * is generally negligible when it comes to their skill at the position. Players generally will get that 5th star if their measurables are (slightly) better.

I agree 100 heart matters more than running a 40yard dash. Everyone doesn't test well .

College football fans want championships. Not concerned about the pro draft. Show us the stars for championship teams. I bet it skews higher than the drafted players' stars.
