So the news a week ago was that Divinity wanted his boy Harris with him. Divinity committed today. What is up with Harris?

It never had anything to do with De'Jon Harris. That was completely just made up by some people thinking that might be the reason he decommitted. Divinity just wanted his spotlight.

Maybe not but we need to offer Harris he is a baller and we need LBers. I didn't think we would get Davis and we didn't so this is one less LBer.

Take A LOT of what you hear on here with a grain of salt.

Don't get too caught up in recruiting or it will ruin your life.

This cycle has been crazy with decommitments and recommitments. Not just LSU, all over the country. Strange.

Jut because we offer doesn't mean he's interested, or even less, commits. Others have shown interest and those others are Arkie and Bama. He could give us a home state discount if we showed interest, but it seems the Harris ship has sailed.

And to be honest, I've never been for taking players just to fill a position slot. Like a draft, you take the BPA, not a position. IF we can get better players at other positions, then so be it.

I think he was unsure for a bit, but the Aranda hiring, he knew that was an elite level hire and that it was best for business. Quickly jumped back on the Tigers.

I think it is more complicated that this. What it sounds like you are saying is, just take the highest rated players, don't go after the need. So that means take a another 4 star receiver over a 3 star linebacker? There is so much wrong with this philosophy, first think about the flaws in the rankings....then let's just look at it from a practical position. How many 4 and 5 star receivers have aTm signed the last three years and look at the biggest reason why they are getting run over.

Heck, look at the receivers, DB's, and running backs we have signed then look at our biggest weakness. This is not the NFL where you draft the best player then make trades. You sometimes have to pick up projects and coach them to develop depth and leadership.

Every year we should sign a min of 4 offensive linemen, 3 or 4 defensive linemen and 3 or 4 linebackers. Not doing this can put us in a position to HAVE to play freshman in the trenches; which is not typically good!

Recruiting is not about star gazing, it's about building strong foundations......the meat of your team. I think we are recruiting to many receivers this year, after we got 2 or 3 we should have stopped. We need more linebackers, OL, and DL, and a QB. That's where championship teams are built and that's where everyone is so delusioned about our talent level being equal to team X,Y, or Z. Winning the line of scrimmage makes the rest of the team better, that is typically a sign of a great team!

Wrong, wrong, wrong! It's totally different than the draft. In the NFL you can always get competent players in free agency. There's no such thing in college. You should recruit EVERY position EVERY year. And you should absolutely turn away great players once your quota is filled. That's what Saban does EVERY FRIGGIN YEAR!

Your love affair with Saban gets stronger each year.
