I qualified that statement. It completely depends on the staff's outlook for Ryan Anderson. If it is felt that Anderson ultimately grows into a 3-4 DE, then there would be room for another Jack LB. If not, then I don't see it happening.

Rumored to be committing to BAMA at some point in the very near future. Interesting situation to watch - especially with his long time love affair with aTm.

Translation: Bama is settling for a player LSU doesn't want.

It will take a lot to get him to commit this weekend. He wants to wait longer to commit.

It's no secret Devall prefers playing as an OLB in a 3-4. A&M can offer almost instant playing time. Bama offers the opportunity to play in the SEC.

You must not follow recruiting at all.

Another well informed Bama Fan and friend of mine doesn't believe Devall is a top priority as well.

I never said he wasn't a priority for Alabama's staff. All I can do is make an educated guess, based on the information that's out there. It's known that Denzel Devall wants to play in a 3-4 defense. It's also known he's just visited Alabama again. We also know that it's not completely known where Ryan Anderson will end up on defense.

The longer he waits the chances of him leaving the state decrease IMO

And I never said you said that he wasn't a priority. Note the word "top" before priority in my statement. My buddy thinks if DD commits to bama that would be a sign that things aren't good with higher priorities (according to him) Jenkins and Kwon. I assumed this combined with Anderson would make him a lower priority.

That could mean something about Jordan Jenkins, but Kwon Alexander is being recruited for a completely different position at LB.

How can we keep Saban out of Louisiana?

He has to retire or go back to NFL. Don't let this ruin your day. DD hasn't committed yet, and even if it's not bama it will be a&m. LSU has 3 top 250 overall LBers signed in this class in Louis, Feist, and Shiro already. DD would no doubt be a great addition but he wants the 3-4 and Lsu can't give him the "jack."
