Latest update from pay site doesn't sound that encouraging for LSU. His family issues may force him to stay closer to home. Sucks he is a really good player but family should always be first

I think at this point it would be more surprising if he actually ends up at LSU than if not.

Terrible situation.

We must get 2 more dlinemen this class.

I completely understand but why wait so long if it's a forgone conclusion, give LSU time to fill the spot with a quality player.

The kid is in a tough situation, he might not be sure about what he wants to do.

You're assuming the LSU coaching staff doesn't know his intentions. That may or may not be true. I'm sure they want him to stick to his commitment but I wouldn't assume they are going to get caught by surprise if he doesn't.

Exactly. There's no reason to believe that Clark hasn't been honest with the staff about his situation.

Can't really blame him if he does stay home. He's got all the potential in the world so I hope he sticks with us, but like I said with his mothers' condition i wouldn't blame him one bit if he flipped to stay home.

I hve a question that maybe someone of y'all on the board may know the answer to and can help me out a little bit...

Is his mother having cancer, or whatever her illness is, a new development? It's been talked about a lot recently, but is this something that they just discovered or were they aware of it when he originally gave his verbal to the LSU staff? I can't remember of this was an issue around the time that he committed.

The word was at one point he really wanted to honor his commitment to LSU but is torn. It was said in the past his mom wanted him to do his own thing and not worry about her. I can understand him being torn though. I hope he stays with us. He's another high character prospect of many we have committed in this class. I think that's the most underrated thing about our current class...some of the character our recruits are showing. I see a lot of potential leadership incoming from this recruiting class and I think that will lead us to the promise land on top of the talent we're getting.

The young man will do the right thing! If it means staying close to home so be it! LSU recruits young men with character. However thing go, my prayers are with him and his mother.

He posted on Twitter tonight that he wants to play wherever he's most wanted/needed. Let's not let him make the switch without letting him know how badly we want him here.

It will be a tough decision for him, but his destiny is to dominate at LSU.

Idk what paysite you saw but the interview I saw said he is still firmly committed and wasn't negative toward LSU at all. Some people misinterpret things a whole bunch around here obviously. Some folks?? Idk what it is about lots of our fanbase but man........ Just like the article on BH over the summer about not attending a camp, everyone burned that guy or lots of people did. The post the LSU fan left was only a small piece of the conversation and people bit on it. It was rediculous, now he's considered one of the highest characters in the class. Goes to show you...... You really wouldn't believe what the negative spin or bad media does, this stuff gets out and could affect us in a negative way as we have seen. But carry on and continue as you most certainly will.

It's not just here btw. It's human nature to justify in some way what you want to happen. Human nature to make assumptions and extrapolations. Case in point: Jacory and Quinn schedule an OM visit. Days later we're hearing that they aren't firm, gonna flip, etc. All based on them taking an OV after committing.

From what I gathered his parents really want him at LSU. And to be honest having dealt with similar issues, what can he do? He's not a doctor or nurse and he's not her caregiver, not to mention that whether he goes to LSU or Oklahoma he's going to be incredibly busy during football. I think Clark is starting to realize this, hence the reason that he has stayed committed and not pulled the trigger on the switch. I think the kid will be a Tiger.
