Led Delgado in BA at .429, with 16 doubles and 2 homers. 37 walks and 22 strikeouts.

For comparison Cole batted .385 at Delgado, but Bryce Adams batted .417 so take that how you may.

I'm sure he's a talented kid. Thanks for stats.

Yea but I also think Adams had a lot of strikeouts. He was probably just a little more lucky than Freeman

Didn't know that. I remember that '86 team well. First year I started following LSU baseball.

Burke's was a little fart...lol!

Seems odd to me he's even a late add, very solid stats, glad to have him in the class now. Guess they told him to sit and wait and it paid off for him?

Congrats to Mr. Broussard! Hopefully he can follow the footsteps of Freeman and McMullen as former Dolphins to play significant roles for the Tigers.

Question: how does he compare to the two I previously mentioned? Freeman was an ace defensively while McMullen really didn't have a position. Both were very solid at the plate.

I played high school ball for his dad Burke, comes from a super family. I am so excited for him, gets to play at LSU just like his dad did. I'll tell you this much, he is and will be as fundamentally sound as any baseball player you've ever seen.

I hope he is our answer at 2nd, or at least adds some solid depth as a utility player.

Stats look great, and he has the pedigree.

At this point it looks like 2nd will be manned by one of the following: Slaughter, Broussard, Hughes, Woley.

3rd could also be any of those, plus Templet.

1st could be Coomes, Templet, or Woley, or potentially Bryce Jordan.

Definitely. I'm still forgetting about him when I think about the future line ups because for so long I've not really counted on him getting to campus.

Woley is too stiff for 2b IMO.

I prefer a more fluid athlete there.

Used to play against him in my younger days, he was on a team with Bain if my memory serves me correct. Nice guy
