Guys it is not over yet for Debose.

I don't think we get him, but we are still firmly in the race for Debose.

McCarthy was in Sanford today visiting him...more to this story than just the surface.

I'm just going to assume it's over...if we end up getting him, then great

Old news, we knew DJ was in Sanford earlier in the day...Shepard's interview today, shed light on the fact that Debose wasn't done with his decision...Hopefully CUM slacks up, and Miles gets in there.

i noticed the uneasiness and uncertainty in his body language and facial expressions when he announced. I've been hearing rumblings that we are in it if that UF coach leaves for Tenn. Crazier things have happened but im not getting my hopes up too high.

There are is more to the story than just that...

It sounds like its like 55/45 UF over LSU at this point IMO.

when he made the commitment, he sounded pressured by the crowd, to pick a Florida school. Just was really weird...

I believe this

but I think this is the appropriate course of action.

Honestly, if I was an in state recruit with a ton of pressure to go somewhere I would avoid trouble and then just switch on signing day. Not saying that's whats going on, just a theory.

Yea, apparently he was forced to make a commitment when he didn't want to. It was definitely all over his body language last night like a above poster said. I don't think he wanted to announce then...

Evidently he didn't want to announce but ESPN forced him to.

Tough situation for the kid.

If UF's WR coach leaves as well then I think LSU can take him.

But as of now, like another poster said, I am expecting us not to get him..

Nice for there to still be a legit chance though.

I posted that this morning and the casual responses were, "GIVE IT UP!"

Were the reports out this morning?

Yeah I have noticed that those seem to be the standard responses across different sites, but I think we are sitting just as good now as we were prior to his announcement.

It was actually prolly sometime early afternoon I posted it. But from the beginning I knew no matter where he committed it would not be over until NSD.

I still believe LSU gets his signature, but my hopes are definately not up.

Per DD:

quote:

LSU wide receiver coach T. J. McCarthy was at Sanford Florida Monday recruiting Andre Debose who committed to Florida at the US Under Armour game. According to information I received Monday morning, Debose called McCarthy after he committed to Florida to let him know that he was still very interested in LSU.
