De'Andre Johnson JUCO Highlights

QB East Mississippi Comm. College
Overall... Freaking solid. GREAT deep ball and has the wheels to burn defenses on the ground.
The one thing that stood out though is he doesn't look off defenders that often. He always goes to his first read. I don't think that would be too much of an issue with a new spread OC coming in though.
*Please stick to football talk only. Everyone knows about how this kid made a mistake off the field

I didnt know until you brought it up.

If Helfrich gets hired when Lane is announced to Houston tomorrow, that will mean that Myles Brennan will most likely decommit because Helfrich runs the read option.
If they want to compete next year Johnson would be a solid option to run that offense.

good athlete, but I don't think I saw a single check down to the 2nd or 3rd receiver. He locked on to his primary target and simply waited for him to clear.

Damn. Throws a beautiful ball. Has some nice zip on his throws as well. If he can pick up an offense quickly and have adequate pocket presence then I think he could be a huge get for us if we landed him. Now I'm following his recruitment heavily!

That's what I'm saying. He can make all the throws. Great athleticism.
I think he would be incredible in a Helfrich offense

Yeah now I'm hoping he comes here. Do you know what all colleges are in play for him? How much interest does he have in us?

He only has one current offer...
Texas State
Could be wrong, but he would jump at any Power 5 offer he gets

Yes, dude can ball. I think he deserves a second chance. But if we give him an offer Myles is gone for sure.

Let's be real.... Depending on the scheme, Johnson and Narcisse as our 2 quarterback gets would NOT be the end of the world
The only problem I had offering Tua is that we had no chance of landing him.
De'Andre would certainly commit if he had a scholly to LSU

Me likey. Certainly has great instincts and looks to have good eyes for downfield while scrambling. I like that he is a pass first quarterback but can take off or buy time and make plays with his feet.

I cringe to think about all the Guilbeau articles that will be written considering his past that got him booted from FSU

It was a terrible mistake while presumably under the influence of alcohol. There isn't any other evidence this kid is a wrongdoer.
If Mike Vick gets a second chance, so does this kid

Looks like a less polished Lindsey Scott really. Probably not worth any negative publicity that might come with him.

After watching some highlights... how is this kid only a 3 star???

Will be a great pickup. That highlight tape doesn't even detail how good he really is.

Helfrich doesn't run read option. He's multiple depending on his qb.

Also looks like he has a visit to fau lined up. Def a guy who needs to be at some power 5 school. NOT fau
