Since he is from Texas, wish he could have been at College Station for this game.

But isn't the Univ. of Texas the team to beat to recruit Mack?

Miles Garrett is playing way too many plays just constantly getting pounded.

He's probably losing years off his professional career.

Mack is currently committed to Aggy, but we're very much in the picture.

We will close strong here with defensive recruits, not even worried about it

Hopefully, Mack realizes that A&M is not a place for defenders to go. Not to mention, playing in noticeably quiet 1/4 empty stadiums in primetime.

LSU might not be the place for him either

The lack of development for their front 7 has to be somewhat of a concern for him.

Sounds good being "the dude", until you line up against SEC OL's and you're getting double teamed or a frigging RB is taking your legs out every play.

Oh, and by the way... a DL's best friend are good DB's (and vice versa) so guess which team in the SEC has that Mr. Mack.

I was personally flabbergasted they left Myles Garrett out there basically all game. He was getting chewed up in the run game badly. I know he's a freshman but man does he need A LOT of development about gap responsibility.

I liked when the camera zoomed in on him signaling for a breather and they left his arse in anyway

He definitely got a good look at a great P&G and a terrible cum-stained rust defense tonight.

He's got to see all the advantages. LSU played two guys at the beginning of the year with no starts prior. By the end of the year, our true freshman DT and true sophomore DT (both converted DEs) are doing pretty damn good.

This is off topic kinda, but here goes. What I like about Haley, and i have yet to see people give him props for it, is that he takes lower grade high school DEs, convert them into DTs, and makes them starters in the NFL. Ego (actually a pretty high graded prep DE) isn't starting yet, but Logan and Brockers are. Ego will within the next few years. He already has 20 tackles (10 solo) 2 sacks, and 3 pass deflections as a backup rookie tackle .

Ok, back on track. Mack has that great speed for big guy as well, he could easily slide into the four man rotation here. I mean we are showing you the NFL starters, we are showing you the young guys jumping over the older guys at LSU if they are ready, we are showing you that LSU will prepare you to be an instant impact player in the NFL, and we are showing you that we pride ourselves on defense. This goes for Dylan Jackson as well. He can put on 20lbs here and become our Joey Bosa (hope that wasn't too stereotypical, because meant only good things by it).

ESPN and 24/7 both had him listed as Defensive Tackle. I don't recall him being thought of as a DE at the time. That's beside the fact that he was never an impact player at LSU. What would people give Haley credit for? Ego and Johnson never made that breakthrough in college.

Poor guy was sucking air all night, and there was never any relief for him. PT is good, to a point; but shite like last night can actually hurt a player.

They started for LSU. That is "breakthrough" enough for the NFL. Being a backup at LSU still gets you on an NFL roster (see Ron Brooks, Alfred Blue, and James Wright).
