It's clear to me that lil Nicky pawned Sims and Hootie and did what he had to do to get CRob. He took Charlot and Carter to keep his foot in Louisiana. He's using this strategy to go after other big fish locally. He truly cares not about these players, but he does a good job making them feel good before signing day.

He did get a ring while he was there so it wasn't a total waste for him.

I don't understand this achievement. I would rather be a starter for a decent school than sport a ring that I had nothing to do with other than warming the bench.

Reminds me of gold digging women, who flaunt their expensive diamond rings, like they accomplished something other than blowing some rich guy. Actually, it's not all that different from Charlots situation come to think of it...

still not sure why they offered him

I met one of RF's former HS coaches recently, and actually I didn't realize he coached him at first, he mentioned one of his former players was at Bama. The coach is also good friends with and coached with Shyrone Carey. He said RF was only gaining slight interest from some smaller schools that had seen him play while they were watching other recruits. Carey, in trying to get RF's name out a little more because he was a good kid that had some talent, called Saban and told him he had a player he might be interested in. Saban sent a coach down to the school(guy I met couldn't remember his name) to meet RF, they watched some film on him and offered not long after. IMO, it was a way for Saban to get/keep his foot in the door in inner city Nola. Saban know recruiting better than probably anyone that's ever done it, and he knows establishing relationships is the key, with coaches and players alike. Now, when RF goes home, he will be wearing Bama gear and talking up their program to everyone who has an interest. Being a Bama player and national champion will make RF popular in his community, and kids will look up to him and want what he has. It's all part of Saban's process, setting roots in certain areas to feed off of it in the future.

It's just so obvious that you've just finished licking Saban's ball sack. Can you make it any more obvious? Go play on the SEC board.

yeah, only if he actually contributes anything to that NC... problem is NO ONE knows who the frick he is!! and having a former scrub WR that happened to go to Bama is NOT gonna turn NOLA into a Bama pipeline...

Saban is key... as long as he's there, they will get recruits... when he hangs it up, there will be a drop, and I imagine either Florida St., Georgia, and Florida will reap some benefits with kids around that area... Miles won't be long after Saban though...

I pull against every player at Alabama. If the player is from Louisiana that doesn't change a thing. Please drop ever pass, fumble ever time, whiff on every tackled! And not just when it is against LSU. I want them to fail in every game against every opponent.

Couldn't say it any better. If they play for bama, I root for them to fail, whether from Birmingham or Baton Rouge.
