1 of my favorite recruits for 2014, and hes flying under the radar a little bit. Extremely talented and raw, could be a big time player for us. I also think hes ours to lose.

It would be nice if the OP put in the school, position recruited for, and a link to a profile. That way, people like me who weren't previously familiar with the kid wouldn't have to hunt in Chinese's thread or elsewhere.

Just sayin'.

It's hard to really judge this film because they have him playing NT in a 3-4 when this kid is a 4-3 DE. He definitely has good athleticism and I would love to see him in a camp atmosphere where you can see his end rushing abilities

Yeah, I was wondering what I was supposed to be excited about, because he's playing gap control and isn't even using great technique at that---he stays way too high. He also doesn't show a quick first step.

I agree that the staff will want to see him camp before he gets an offer.

ETA: The one thing that you do see in the video is his strength. I'll grant that he's strong.

The main thing that stands out to me is the lateral movement for a guy his size. He doesn't really display any moves other than bullrushing his man, but like you said, he's rarely outside in those highlights.

He's definitely got the look of an SEC DE. Looks like Sonic Sam frame wise coming out of SC.

Well then, I guess we'll see if he gets an offer this weekend (assuming that he is there--I haven't read that thread yet). If he isn't offered, then I guess he needs to demonstrate improvement in some area.

Grades are supposedly one area he needed to show improvement on in order to get an offer.
