I have not heard anything recently on him and since he was supposed to get an offer and commit, I was just wondering what is his status?

If I remember correctly he was supposed to make it to the Appy State game but was unable due to the Hurricane. So no offer has been extended till he makes his trip on campus.

its not grades anymore. His grades are up, its about numbers and what position he will play.

they want to evaluate the possibility of him playing DE, or is he stricly a DT? If hes only at DT do we take him before JM makes a decision?

“I haven’t scheduled another trip to LSU yet,” Sentimore added. “I haven’t spoken to LSU coaches since the hurricane either. They may have been trying to call me though, but the phone lines were down for a while due to the storm. I’ve been getting news articles in the mail and letters from them though.”

Sentimore’s home phone has since been fixed and obviously the word has spread as collegiate coaches from around the country have been blowing the phone up like a fundraiser on television.

“I’ve probably received like 20 phone calls from 20 different teams in the past two days,” Sentimore informed. “I’ve spoken to coaches from Mississippi St, Alabama, Tennessee, Arkansas, Miami, Georgia and even some small schools.

“Just about all of those teams have offered me too,” Sentimore continued. “LSU seems to be the only school that’s not showing me any love. So I just have to take what I got.”

Where do the Tigers stand in the mix?

“I don’t know about LSU,” Sentimore replied. “I’m still very interested in them, but if they do not offer me by the time I take all of five of my official visits then I have to take what I got.”

JM isnt scared by competition, he has stated he wants to play next to a top flight DT (Davenport maybe)

He'll probably get an offer once they evaluate him some more this year..I think they want to make sure he can play DE before they lock him up.

your a joke...ive watched every game hes played for two years now and highschool quarter backs are running away from him easily...with the spread offense taking over he will be useless at DE

You have to understand, some of these rantards have seen less than two minutes of film but bitch everyday b/c the staff hasn't jumped on him as a DE

I think that Sentimore is as fast or faster than most of our current DEs so unless and until LSU decides to go with smaller/quicker DEs, Sentimore is plenty fast to play DE at LSU.

He's faster than McCarron if that makes you feel any better.

No, I'm basing my post on the times he has posted at a couple of camps and on my viewing of many QBs running away from Tyson Jackson over the past 2 years. Savvy?

yea since edwards ran away from tyson jackson soo many times in the opening game...camp speed doesnt translate to game speed...have you ever actually watched him play a game in person?
