We have 6 spots left.and I think we get seven guys and figure it out. The reason I say this is I think we if Robinson does well at the July camp we will accept his commitment and take Rickey Jefferson as well. Then I think after Preist Willis makes his second visit for the Bama game he will eventually choose LSU and we will not turn him down. My last six plus Willis are:

Tim Williams
Kendell Beckwith
Robinson
Jefferson
Willis
Greg Gilmore

This brings me to my question. We know the staff will take at least six D-lineman. The general consensus seems to be 7 with the possibility of it being 8 if the right 8 want on. I know some say Lawson can play o-line but lets keep him at DT for the sake of d-line numbers. We have 3 ends in Patterson, Herron, and Neal. We will push for Tim Williams to be the last DE in my opinion. With Tevin Lawson on at DT and say we get Gilmore I'd would still like for LSU to sign one more DT.My question is who do yall think is most likely? Of course my favorite would be Vanderdoes and though unlikely if he visits for Bams and we are undefeated at the time it will be one helluva an atmosphere. Anything is possible especially if its a close game for three quarters and LSU can pull away in the fourth and win by 10 or 14. That would leave an impression. I'm not sure if Justin Manning is still considering LSU but I would guess Scott Pagano or Rod Crayton would be the mosy likely choices.

So I ask yall who do yall think could fill that last DT spot? Who would yall prefer? I know this is a DT question but feel free to give me yalls thoughts on the dline as a whole if yall want

If we get Gilmore, its Vanderdoes or bust IMO. We have Lawson, and Herron is a candidate to fill Brockers role. Camp will tell alot about Pangano/Crayton, but they are back-burners unless they just kill camp, and I doubt that...

I hope. Kid could really make our D-line exceptional.

As do I. Don't think he's leaving the West Coast.

Saying we have a good shot doesn't equate to "we're getting him." How can anyone doubt our chances with him considering we're likely in his top three right now and the other two schools don't consider him locks?

I kinda agree. Has a shot doesn't mean he is a lock but for us to have a chance he needs to keep his official scheduled.

Does alot of people think it's Vanderdoes or bust or would you like to see a third DT besides Lawson and Gilmore even if it is not Eddie if so who?

I think it's possible one of our DE's could grow into a DT. Nobody really strikes me as a Brockers type DE that will move inside but you never know.

Less than 10% that he goes to LSU imo.

Oregon is his clear leader right now. If he even plays cfb.

He could go pro as a leftie in mlb.

If they shift Beckwith down to line, I'd imagine they try to bulk up Herron or Patterson and see if they can move inside.

I think Patterson is one of the more unlikely candidates to play DT personally. But you never know, I'm sure they have a plan for these guys. Herron is the closest to fit that mold IMO.

Ok. It is improbable that he is going to go to LSU. Make it easier?

I am sorry that butt hurt you.

My "opinion" is based on the current situation and information I get from sources on the WC.

Choose not to listen to it-- that really does not effect me.

I am sharing it with the recruitniks on this board-- as I do with any information I get about WC recruits-- about players that are interested in or are being recruited by LSU.

No other reason. And definitely not for your "opinion".

Why did you put "opinion" in quotes? Is it not really an opinion?

Done.

Thank goodness. I don't know what this board would do without the WC perspective. I wonder if there are others on the internet somewhere that talk about college recruiting?

No need to put it in quotes, it's really just my opinion.
