Was that last year when that kid had a press conference at school and announced his commitment to Cal?(I think) without an offer?

He's playing JUCO ball now. They had an update in SI about him a month ago or so.

we used to make recruiting calls to shitty high school lineman teammates all the time. That Nelson Stokley was throwing out all kinds of interest.
