frick no. He and his family made their choice.

While I agree and I'm pretty stoked about our future QBs, getting Shea would be a huge recruiting win (any personal bias aside).
It would certainly make us forget about Rogers even moreso than we already have.
Could even be an additional draw for Marshall.

In a chip Kelly offense, this guy is going to kill it.

No respectable coach is going to a school that is about to be sanctioned big time by the NCAA. Idk why the frick people keep mentioning Kelly, and Miles.

I have no issues with Shea's family hating the vibe at LSU 2 years ago, Canada needs to reach out and let them know the idiot is gone, and we now have an offense Shea is perfect for.

Or, just sit and rot at OM for 3 more years.

I would take him in a heartbeat, if not for anything else to keep him away from the competition. Florida, Auburn, A&M, doubt he would go to bama, but to keep him away from the rest I would absolutely take him. We would be crazy not to try. He's talented and there's no denying that.

This obsession with Shea Patterson is sickening. The kid is a prima donna. Eventually such behavior catchs up with their game (e.g., Johnny Manziel, Ryan Leaf).

We do NOT want Shea. We have Brennan and Narcisse. Eventually one or both will take us to the playoffs. While Ol Piss and their retreads will languish in mediocrity.

Or, OR ... we could develop the QBs we already have.

I seem to remember idiots freaking out because Coach O offered the 5-star QB that was committed to Alabama. Now they want to go out and attempt to get a guy attending another university to be the LSU QB. That should be GREAT for team chemistry.

Another thing, WHY IN THE HELL DO MORONS on this board think that because a coach gets fired for calling hookers on a school provided telephone that a player can just freely transfer anyway.

LSU fired Les Miles last year did the whole LSU team transfer to other schools and sit a year because of it?

I'd let him come here and ride the pine if need be. Just don't want him transferring to another SEC school, who could be a thorn in LSU's side for the next two years.

You're making 3 assumptions. And it's fine, no harm in speculating and theorizing on a message board.

Assumption 1 has been mentioned several times already: That the NCAA will be allowing players to transfer with no penalty. Actually, pretty good assumption based on history with USC and Penn St.

Assumption 2 is that Shea would want to transfer. I say you can safely assume he's at least going to look at the option or think about it. There's at least 1 more year of bowl ban coming (another assumption) which would be to the end of his early-entry career.

Assumption 3 is the one everyone is forgetting about. It's the one where it is assumed Shea won't be targeted for improper benefits. Based on:

A) One of the escort services called in late Jan '16 was in Tampa area, IMG territory.
B) That's about 2 weeks before he committed to OM
C) one can assume Bro, Dad, or Shea weren't given immunity for information
D) very highly sought after; if OM was doing all this, including pimp services, why would Shea not be a beneficiary

So if you going to assume/theorize on the positives, such as no-penalty transfer, consider the theoretical negative. Shea himself just might be sanctioned. By that I mean he may be left out of a no-penalty transfer by designation of NCAA because of improper benefits.

Well that's not the only issue with OM. So you're saying that if players want out after sanctions are delt that they wouldn't let them go? That's the whole point I was making, what if your kid was at OM but now wanted out?

Your kid would have nothing to do with that situation so why wouldn't he be able to go anywhere he wanted? I mean call me and who ever what ever you like but it looks to me that you're the one who didn't think before posting moronically.

Not to mention that now the entire staff could possibly change with those kids having no idea that this would happen prior. Crazy for thinking such things right, just ludicrous.

Wow and you're calling others morons when you're comparing last years LSU change to OM lmfao. Come on brah. Not even close really. Before you call other morons please don't post idiotic things. Carma is a biotch.

I do agree that LSU is fine but why not get another great QB here if he likes it, at least talk to him see if his attitude has changed. I mean it's not like he's a great risk. If his attitude is the same then no change he beats out our QBs anyway. GT

Even if Ole Miss gets hit with sanctions, which as of now they haven't been, Patterson might not even be there anymore. The NCAA is notorious for dragging their feet with stuff like that. As of now, he's the starting QB for a rival school and he can go to hell with the rest of the Rebels.

I'm not sure LSU would take Shea if the rumors of his family are true.

It's been rumoured his brother a week before leaving for Ole Miss was caught stealing LSU tapes. Police were called and he was escorted out.
