After posting a 1.40 ERA in 25.2 innings at advanced A Chris got a call up. One of my all time favorite tigers, I'm glad he is still proving people wrong.

Sweet. So he got called up to the CC Hooks? That's a great place to play. The wind swirls in Whataburger field like crazy.

Yea he is with the CC hooks now. Pitched 2 innings last night only gave up 2 hits and earned the win. He must be really putting it together now because High A Lancaster is probably the worst team to play for as a pitcher. Same place mark appel (former #1overall pick) posted a ERA over 9 and lance McCullers (currently in the majors) posted a ERA over 5.

I lived in CC for five years back when Hunter Pence was there. The wind is insane and the park is on the water. Some of the nicest facilities in the minors. An old poll of players ranked it as the worst for outfielders because of the swirling wind.

Not sure but I really hope he gets a fair shot at the majors if he keeps this up. You never know with how these teams manage guys that are not top prospects or "part of their future"

Hope he's given a legitimate shot and isn't cannon foder for the organization.. It's the unfortunate reality that many guys can play extrewmly well in the minors and never sniff the majors because they aren't viewed as a workable piece and used are simply as a roster filler
