I saw that Clifford is flirting a lot with Florida?? Should we be worried? Has LSU backed of CC and chasing after bigger fish at this point? I'm really starting to question whether he will be part of this class or not. Looked like a Rasshann Thorton type of get when he commuted, but has not shown the upside we thought and embarrassed himself during summer work outs. Thoughts here?

I feel like he has a lot of potential bit if he decommits that just gives us more room for these bigger fish we are going after

They really wanted him to put on weight and become a LB prospect but he hasnt done that. Wouldnt surprise me if we part ways but he's a safety right now

No big deal there's plenty of other players who are better than him. So if he decommits that's fine.

If he doesn't want to be at LSU then best of luck to him elsewhere

I actually think the coaches will let him drift away to another team with subtle innuendos, as mentioned, just not the body type transition they were hoping for..

But isn't there still time? He is in highschool still and doing what's best for his team. Once he gets on campus and in LSU weight room he might be able to put on some bulk wieght to be an OLB. Might benefit to enroll early, or we just RS him so he can get there.

Yeah at all camps to have a bad weekend you don't perform that badly at LSUs elite camp. All the coaches and several national writes saw it and said he is way out of his league

Seriously guys?? We are locking down north LA, it is a big deal letting guys decommit. The staff knows this and wont let it happen, We wont overlook Chattman & Travez.

Its mutual, the main thing is that the guys at safety we feel so confident about at this point. He would really never see the field outside of ST.

He would have been a good jackrabbit type player, that you could move around the field though, but never gained the weight, its not 40 lbs they were asking either. He also does not have the confidence and maturity of some of the guys we are recruiting.

Chattman is a Nola recruit, he goes to McDonogh 35.

I think the kid has a future at LSU. Programs are not built and sustained with 3 year players only. We need some guys who will be around 4-5 years. Our ST stinks this year due to our lack of LBs and upper classmen.

He may be a little bigger version of Duke Riley. Duke is only listed at 6'0" 227lbs...we need good long term role players as well...

Are you referring to Chattman because he's in 6'4-6'5 range.

One problem.....I think Chattman's 190 lbs at the heaviest.
