sorry philip, your brother will have to wait a few years before he even has a shot of seeing the field.

Talent-wise. Reads defenses excellently. WAY beyond his years.

A little bit of a slow delivery. But, I like his touch and his apparent ability to read the field.

Throws off his back foot and falling backward with no pressure. Just like j lee. Bad technique our coaches cant correct, not excited

Doesn't Phillip Rivers throw like this?

OP if you had more than 12 posts people might take you more seriously.

Everybody has to start, at some point.

I had no idea there was a direct relationship between post count and intelligence.

I personally hope he never sees the field at LSU. If we get Mettenberger, I hope we can find a better QB to commit in 2012 that can come in when Mettenberger leaves, because I am unimpressed with Rivers.

I hope I'm wrong

I will say this, that OP video is the best collection of Rivers highlights I've seen yet. He's been otherwise unremarkable, imo, even in highlights.

And I got the sinking feeling it will take him until his senior year in college before he ever makes plays like that consistently (in college). He's very raw, and needs a lot of work.

almost all of his mechanics-from his footwork to the way he holds the ball directly post snap to his throwing motion-are very very raw, even for a HSer. He's going to need a lot of work

What the frick is wrong with Mr. Rivers. Both of his sons throw like they are using their non-dominant hands.

I love the talent scouts in here. If Rivals had him listed as a 4 star yiou'd be pissing yourself to get this kid. Just pathetic.

We want him at LSU. After what Trex got rated I doubt anyone on this board pays attention to stars anymore. I never do.

Lots of people in this thread don't want the kid at LSU and it's sad. There are people in here that will tell you Mettenberger is going to be our savior and can start right away, and they've never seen the kid play once. Yet Rivers is a huge project because he's listed as a 3 star.

Like I've said before, it doesn't suck to have a pro bowl QB brother in your ear and teaching you. There was another 3 star QB with a weird throwing motion a few years ago, who wasnt as athletic as Rivers. I think his name was Sam Bradford.

I'd like 1 person, just 1, to tell me something Eli Manning was better at coming out of high school than Stephen Rivers.
