Pretty sure Brandon is #1 in the poll they're using. They beat up on Ocean Springs friday. NW Rankin could be a sleeper team in 6A and don't count out South Panola just because they lost this one to Clinton. TOs killed them. Starkville will be good again this year too. I would expect the final four teams in 6A to be among the following: Brandon, Clinton, Warren Central (who beat Oak Grove 28-3), South Panola, Starkville & Columbus.

He grew up an LSU fan, but I am hearing that he likely stays in state and goes to OM. With LF7 leaving after this season a certainty, and Guice likely leaving after the falling year, he could come in and be behind Guice as a freshman and be the man the next two years.

If he goes to OM, he will have to be the man right out of the gate, which is not advantageous for a running back IMO.

The body only has so many carries in it...

The NCAA is breathing heavy down OM's neck and digging deep. If the kid is smart, he goes anywhere but OM.

Akers should look at how many RBs Freeze has put in the NFL vs. Miles. It's not close. Also, if Akers commits he'll have Brandon Harris as a senior passing the ball to open up running lanes for him then the following two years the offense will feature him especially his sophomore year after Harris leaves which would be the year he can establish himself as a top round draft pick to scouts setting up his junior year.

He and Guice would be one hell of a backfield.

At Cams game tonight. Had he not had a 40 yd run called back he'd have 2 rushing td's and 2 passing td's in the 1st quarter. They're playing a cupcake but still.....I'll tell you what though, the kids a helllll of a qb. I don't think he gets enough credit for his arm and touch on passes. He looks just as good as the 4 and 5 stars I've seen.
