This guy was a late bloomer who's freakishly athletic and made 5A All State. Sucks that he's a senior who transferred in late or he'd be a big time recruit. Just wondering if anyone heard anything about him. And no I'm not his dad.

Just by looking at that film I know that he wouldn't be a big time recruit. First off he doesn't run a legit 4.5, he gets very little separation from the db's in his highlight and most of his catches are jump balls.

Well I've seen the kid run that fast in person, and he has long legs that make him look slower than he is. Even if he didn't run a 4.5, it doesn't mean he couldn't be big time. Some of the best receivers in the league run 4.6 and 4.7. Most people know 6'4" receivers that high point the ball instead of simply using their height don't grow on trees

Watched him play in person vs mandeville

He's huge with a great frame
He dropped several passes though and the coach's got on him a lot for taking plays off

The conditions for that game sucked so it's not fair to judge him off of that alone but he didn't strike me as a SEC receiver during that game. I wish him the best though and hope he gets to play somewhere

Yea but they run exceptional routes, he has barely any separation in any of his catches. Go watch the top wr targets in this class and watch the difference. He looks like he'd be a good target for ULL or somewhere like that.

I said he's a late bloomer. He's nowhere near as polished as Trey Quinn was coming out of Barbe. With some development, I could see him becoming a Laquon Treadwell type.

Bobby Petrino would do well with him. We just don't have the room for every WR. This year was loaded.

be fair looking at the hudl film he had 2 plays that you could say he didn't get separation. a bunch of those plays were end zone passes where they were 25yds out you aren't going to get much separation on those routes. Just from that film he actually uses his body really well which is what you want to see in tall receivers. Didn't look like 4.5 speed more like 4.6-4.8 but that could be deceiving also.

From the film it looks like he is a year or two away from being a good college receiver definitely needs some coaching but you can't teach size and he has got it and he already uses his body really well so he will be a good sign for someone.

The 2016 LSU WR train has already left the station.

I wonder if he could develop into a TE with a couple of years to add some weight to his frame. Would be fast enough for a mismatch against LBs.
