Brennan did pretty darn good at Elite 11 and The Nike Opening against the best defense cover guys in the country. He finished in the top 5 or 6 qbs QBs the nation. Not bad for a kid that plays against trash. He will be good wherever he ends up.

Believe me I want him to if he's in PG. Elite 11? He struggled day 1. Bounced back day 2. But I don't put much stock in short and shirt camp (touch football). I like to see how you perform when live rounds are being fired. When your OL struggles. When your run game gets bogged down. Those are the type of things you face vs quality HS opponents.

Again thanks for your usual update #geaux #tigers

Yes and BM might have the worse defense in the catholic league. Shaw might be as well.

Brennan's numbers on the season in case anyone is interested:

192 for 269, 71.4%, 2701 yards, 10.0 ypa, 34 TD, 0 INT (This would be a 197.4 NCAA QB Rating, absurd)

So he hasn't thrown an interception all season in 269 pass attempts yet is throwing a TD every 7.9 pass attempts. Pretty sick.

Oh and he also has a bit over 300 yards rushing and another 7 TD there.

Please stop posting these ridiculous Brennan stats. It has already been established in this thread on numerous occasions that these stats mean nothing because Brennan plays against trash defenses in MS and Brother Martin''s defense is the worst in the league.

I don't know if the defenses are bad or not, but those are good numbers against 8th graders.

It has already been established in this thread on numerous occasions that these stats mean nothing because Brennan plays against trash defenses in MS and Brother Martin's defense is the worst in the league. So I am certain that all the other qbs that play these same teams will be posting these same stats any day now. So stop already with this stat nonsense.

Important to note that he broke Dylan Favre's record, who played at the same school. Shows that he is the beneficiary of a high volume passing system also. During the recruiting process, its difficult to determine to what extent stats are a result of "system ball".

No body said that the stats mean "nothing". But we certainly will NOT be expecting QBs playing a respectable schedule to be posting similar numbers. We will look fwd to more video game numbers from MB. After all, he doesn't control his schedule. We also look fwd to getting him on campus, and starting his collegiate development. His potential is unquestionable.

Could Brennan be the Elite QB we've been waiting for as LSU fans since the beginning of time?

I would call Jamarcus an elite QB. Strictly as a QB, Perrilloux was also (40 for 55 in 2 starts, one of those as the SEC CG MVP despite playing injured).

Based more on his NFL career than actual LSU stats, Bert Jones could be considered also.
