Narcisse is all but gone. I guess coach o plans to roll with etling to start the season? Why not bring in a juco guy?

Is Anu Solomon worth looking at?
The Arizona transferring QB. He's got pretty decent numbers

MB is the only QB we need in this class.

Need more LBs

I honestly think we have to use that spot for an OT. with the loss Chidi we need to start building depth.

I would bet Harris is still gone, and we only took Scott last year. If we only take one again, we are looking at some very shallow QB depth again. We were looking for two guys for a reason.

Don't we already have 3 or 4 committed? Deculus can take his T spot, and isn't nearly as raw as Chidi was.

Agreed. We will be fine with MB and the current roster of qb's, just fine. Need to find more LB's and bring Ealy/OT into the fold.

PS Honestly I was VERY surprised we had both MB and LN verbally committed. Always seemed it would be difficult, if not impossible, to get both on campus from the same year group.

Etling
McMillan
Scott
Brennan

(I didn't include Harris because I'm assuming he is transferring.)

As long as we bring in a quality QB every year and maintain 4 each season we should be good, right?

(FWIW, I hope Scott lives up to the hype put out by some of the posters on tRant.)

I've always been a proponent of signing one elite QB every year. Signing two always seems to cause problems. It creates QB controversies, causes problems with recruiting a QB the next season and then when one transfers, you are thin.

If Narcisse wants to come, I say we let him in.

Agree 100%. We already have a sophomore and freshman on the team. We need to address the Linebacker issue.

As an LSU fan, I am not familiar with this issue.

It creates QB controversies,
We have had "controversies" between Jennings / Harris and Harris / Etling the last 3 years. I don't think that signing two elite QB's in the same class, or even having elite QB's is required.

A second guy wouldn't need to be elite. In fact, this is the right time to look for a project guy who is willing to wait a bit and develop to be at a big-time program. That's sort of how McMillan looked, but you put yourself in a bind when that kind of guy is the only one you take in a given year. That's a risk, because they don't always pan out. Based on what little we've seen, McMillan doesn't look ready to be an SEC QB. He may never be, but I hope the staff change is good for him.

I would still prefer to see two QBs in this class, but it may be too late in this cycle to identify the right guy, especially having just hired a new OC. We had two committed for so long, that I wouldn't think much time was put into QB evaluation the last 6-12 months.

You never know. Canada may already have someone in mind.
