Honey Badger 3* on most lists when he came out BTW. TCU, probably the best team in the nation was almost all 3 stars... Baylor too. They try harder. God didn't give them the gifts that 4 and 5's got.

I thought he was JUCO bound. Prime Prep has royally screwed up the school side of things for nearly every prospect to come out of there in nearly every sport.

If we are going to seriously pursue this kid, I hope we do what Mizzou does with their JUCO placements and have them redshirt a year at the JUCO.
They can develop in practice, keep some eyes off of them, and let them focus more on academics since they don't have 'game pressure'. It also gets them to campus with more years to contribute.

Take regardless of Dillon and Charlot. I would imagine they don't really want to take 5 receivers, but Martin is much different than the other wrs. Also, some speculated Jazz to TE a long time ago. I think Jazz will stick at wr.

He's too good a talent to not at least check on. At UA it was said that he's already pocked EMCC as his JC but it doesn't hurt to see if he can be salvaged. Lot of other schools checking too.
As for why another wr, not really sure to be honest. He's a talented kid for sure but we have a pretty deep group now and are bringing at least 3 more in maybe 4. Not including the 16 group where we likely bring 4. Its gonna be crowded. Have to think some transfers are expected but who? Maybe Johnson and/or Spears?

I don't think it's all about them trying harder as much as a faulty recruiting screening system. Can't look at everyone non stop.
Take no Claiborne for instance. He just didn't get as many looks because of his location.
