I mean I know we need to add post depth, but we have a 5 star transfer and a highly recruited 4 star 7 footer who was injured but still very raw last year. We also have a talented undersized forward. I mean we have a lot of unproven players who we hope will improve. That is pretty much all UF will have, unproven players. We have great guards though, and I believe will add another big. I'm not screaming we have a final four team, but we'll be better then UF.

the recruits you have coming in are unproven too right? Ok.

Lol cmon this is laughable, you realize you just listed three addition by subtractions in Carter, Horford, and Walker?

How is it addition by subtraction when you 2 of those 3 guys were starters last year (or at least played 20+ minutes a game)? You didn't have anyone better...and before you say you're bringing in this guy or that guy, might I remind you once again your signees, specifically Dickerson who is coming there for Donovan alone, could jump ship if he does. also, while UF has a well rounded class, you aren't bringing in any super big 1 and done types who would likely be big time contributors right away. Nobody ranked in the Top 50...and your top big man signee is only going there because of Donovan.

Also, funny you say losing Walker is addition by subtraction yet go to say:

quote:

Kasey has not yet lived up to the hype but he has his moments and is more than capable of leading the team.

Who is pretty much in the exact same boat as Walker. A very highly rated player who has vastly underperformed. So which is it since you want to skew things each way to your benefit.

quote:

Then you have Chiozza another solid guard

Who averaged under 4 points a game and had a < 2:1 AST TO ratio and shot under 40% and 32% from 3.

quote:

also Allen coming in this year

An undersized 2 guard who will be a freshman and will likely need a couple years to develop. Dude is like 160 pounds at 6'1-6'2?

quote:

We return Finney-Smith

Who is the only person that scares anyone on your team for next year, don't see how you don't get this.

quote:

Dickerson

Likely WONT be there if Donovan leaves, kinda the point of the thread.

quote:

is full of guards and not many big men

We have plenty of big man, just a lot of unproven guys, but I'd take Ben Simmons over anyone on your roster. Also Craig Victor was a top 50 player. All our big men last year were freshmen and sophomores that played any.

quote:

UF will finish ahead of y'all in the SEC.

LMAO are you fricking kidding? You guys finished with a losing record and are losing guys left and right now (3 of Top 5 scorers) and stand to lose your coach who turned your program into something. But yeah, you'll totally be better than a team that was much better than you this year and stands to be even better this year while you look to be no better.

But there's a big difference in Ben Simmons vs. anyone you have.

Meh they've played at the highest level of high school ball and been elite, but on the college level yes. The thing is we have experience returning. Our 2 best on ball defenders are back and all of our best shooters return. I think they learned a lot this past season that they can build on for next year. Again, I'm not screaming final four like some people, but we'll have a good team.

You clearly know little about your basketball team, or ours. We have a 14 ppg guy coming back, as well as someone who got triple doubles last year. Yea, you may be happy with some of those guys who are leaving, but what exactly are you replacing them with? You had a walk on playing this year...I will make any bet in the world we will be considerably better than y'all.

Oh, and hate on CJJ all you want, but 2-0 last year vs UF.

Dickerson will be playing for UF next season, Egbunu who had to sit out last year is better. All of our signees will contribute.

lol this right here tells me you know nothing about our team. Kasey is definitely not in the same boat as Walker. The only thing that haven't improved with him is his shooting. Walker was just lost and never grew. Big difference.

quote:

Who averaged under 4 points a game and had a < 2:1 AST TO ratio and shot under 40% and 32% from 3.

He was a freshman, and still showed promise. There's this word called maturing, ever heard of it?

Ranked 58, so you can basically say he's a top 50 player. And for the record he'll be combo guard for us so you can't really use the undersized stuff. Also won't need a couple years to develop.

Likely WONT be there if Donovan leaves, kinda the point of the thread.

lol you do not have plenty of big men. Darcy? Malone? LMAO. Feel bad Simmons that he has to play 40 minutes a game.

Why are y'all responding to this 14 year old kid? Have fun with Mike Pelphry and Anthony Grant.

We honestly just need to quit feeding the troll. There's no way he's that delusional about the state of the two programs. He's probably serious about jones, as the SECR has convinced itself LSU could beat a few NBA teams with our 6-deep rotation. it's convenient to boast about Martin when he's been a doormat his first three seasons

Guess you already forgot about both of those times that we beat the shite out of y'all this season huh? I can understand the animosity though considering Florida athletics have been our little bitch in every sport this year, I'm just not sure why you're so confident about the same AD that hired your garbage buck toothed football coach making a quality hire in basketball after royally screwing up the football program

Once again, doesnt appear that way with Donovan likely leaving, he is going there for Donovan and said as much.

quote:

Egbunu who had to sit out last year is better

The dude averaged 7 and 6, calm down.

quote:

All of our signees will contribute

Yeah, because you have barely anyone else, they are being forced into major roles early on.

quote:

Kasey is definitely not in the same boat as Walker

Very highly rated players, both have vastly underpeformed. Same boat, that's all I was saying. Kasey isnt very good, and hasnt shown he can be either. To say he needs to improve his shot is being really nice.

quote:

He was a freshman, and still showed promise. There's this word called maturing, ever heard of it?

He was playing behind meh players and still didnt show much of anything. LOL @ any of those number being "promise". Jayln Patterson was much better for us last season as a freshman.

quote:

Ranked 58, so you can basically say he's a top 50 player.

No, that's exactly the definition of NOT a Top 50 player.

quote:

Also won't need a couple years to develop.

LOL, yes, all these freshmen who arent even Top 50 players will just come in and dominate as freshmen.

quote:

lol you do not have plenty of big men

We are currently at 6 scholarship big men on the roster and looking to add a 7th like Dickerson, Jarreau or the Greek guy. Yes, last I checked that's plenty of big men.

quote:

meh, this doesn't need to be dissected

Because of all the truth in it, oyu are a crackhead if you think UF will be better than LSU next season especially without Donovan.

what guys has he sent to the NBA? O'Bryant? lol dude is in the D league.

He inherited nobody from TJ except JOB III who even had a shot at the NBA and JOB III wasn't a 5-star all world recruit. In fact JOB III had a very rough freshman season then under CJJ improved a LOT and got drafted early in the 2nd round. And he's an active member of the Bucks roster you fricking idiot, he's not in the D-league.

Also Jarell Martin will be a 1st round draft pick and Mickey hjas a chance to be a 2nd round draft pick. Both of those guys were dominant players under Jones. Quarterman, Simmons and Blakeney are your next NBA picks under CJJ, he's starting to send plenty of guys to the NBA.
