Big Man camp this Saturday at LSU

This will be a lineman camp only, kid from Houston CY FALLS high school Landon Leger 6'3 305, bench press 225 16 times,squatted 405,clean 255. Ran into him and his dad kid is huge and loves LSU. HE just turn 17 and will be a JR. his school is the largest class in Texas.

For a sophomore? Not really. I do agree it needs to be a little higher but he has plenty of time to

I was with him when he met LESS Miles all he could say was man you are wide.

Even for a sophomore, and a lineman, he's gotta get stronger.

255 is a very low clean. 405 is a light squat. Players that dont make it to college lift that on a high school level routinely.

He's a sophomore going to jr....those are great #s and will easily improve. He only has 2 yrs+

Yeah, I could squat that when I was a junior, and I wish I wouldn't have. It stunted my development for sure. My coach was a bit overzealous with that shite.

Maybe his coach is being a little responsible and not promoting his kids to rip their growth plates.

I had to have my knees wrapped, but I squatted that much and more. 465 was only enough to get me 5th in Regionals in powerlifting in the 198 weight class.

So, you guys are right. 405 isn't a lot of weight, but it's probably smart to keep a kid that big from hurting his development.
