Bastrop coach expects DeAngelo Benton to go to LSU

According to the following article, he also seems upset at Auburn coaches.
Bastrop coach Brad Bradshaw said DeAngelo Benton, a two-time LSU signee, is close to becoming academically qualified and expects him to sign with the Tigers again next week.
The LSU Tigers, that is.
Benton took a recruiting trip to Auburn this past weekend, a decision that didn’t sit well with his old coach.
“I think he might be listening to the wrong people,” Bradshaw said. “Not very smart in my opinion.”
Benton is a former teammate of Randle’s. The two starred in the receiving corps for Bastrop when the Rams won the Class 4A state title in 2006, Benton’s senior season.
He later played at Hargrave Military Academy in Virginia. He continues trying to get his academics in order.
Bradshaw said Auburn’s name surfaced in Benton’s recruitment only a couple of weeks ago.
“I called Auburn and told them to leave him alone,” the coach said. “They obviously didn’t listen to me.”

Good for him. Sounds like he is trying to make sure the kid understands what a commitment is about.

If the Bastrop coach feels that strongly about DeAngelo Benton going to LSU, that probably bodes well for LSU getting Ruben Randle as well.

???? Why do you feel that?

If our top 4 wide receivers turn out to be Brandon Lafell, Terrance Tolliver, Rueben Randle and DeAngelo Benton next year, we are going to give secondaries absolute nightmares.
That's a sick corps.
That's a sick corps.

He has no say in Randle. But he, along w/ LSU have been w/ Benton every step of the way the last two years trying to get him qualified. It's also why he recognizes that Benton should keep his commit and stick w/ LSU after LSU's stuck w/ him all this time.

That's awesome. Sic em Coach Bradshaw!
I think LSU has been working with Benton for years to get him qualified. Glad that Benton isn't giving up on LSU.

I have never seen anything but LSU love coming from Bradshaw. Are you getting him confused with JT Curtis perhaps?

I know both Randle and Benton are big receivers but how are they looked at as blockers? Thanks for the insight.

Bastrop and Bradshaw have been good to LSU.

Bradshaw has had very little to do with Randle's recruitment. His family is very tight and have handled it.

Why poster come here with negative shite about LSU this close to signing day is beyond me.
I think because their pathetic lives are filled with Fail, they want everything around them to fail too.

Blocking really isn't stressed in high school WR's as it is in college. They will need to be coached.
