We'll lose Hornsby, Gray, Simmoms definitely. Quarterman is probably gone as well.

So, we're left with the following:

PG: Mays, Patterson
SG: Sampson, Blakeney, Kieran Hayward, Jenkins
SF: Wayde Sims
PF: Victor, Epps
C: Reath, Robinson

That's a sketchy lineup. What's the deal with recruiting? I'm not expecting Ben Simmons every year, but aside from Mays, this is an underwhelming class, and the following year appears to be headed in the same direction. Mitchell Robinson has already committed to AM.

I figure they wanted 2 juco to give the team some experience. Sims is good at U high but he is a 6'6 PF, not sure what his ceiling is. Hayward can score and is a great athlete but lacks in basically everything else because he plays in Australia. Mays is a stud.

I'll get downvotes galore for this but I don't see blakeney coming back

He's going to go pro even if it's to Europe

People said his AAU team wanted him to go to college for 2 years and now that he is underperforming this bad there is no way he is that dumb to leave after 1 year.

Totally agree. Blakeney came here with the intention of being one and done with ben. He's absolutely in for a rude awakening

He really is. He's second round at best based solely on projectability. He's an excellent athlete, but he's a 6'2 SG. He's not Bradley Beal either. He's struggling to shoot it consistently. He's not fantastic off the bounce.

Easily see undrafted.

Just for the record Quarterman is projected 1st round. So not probably gone he is gone.

Given, Quartermann has long been a goner.

But Blankeney isn't going anywhere for a while

Hopefully Blakeney can take on somewhat of a scoring point guard role so Patterson & Sampson can spot up.
Hopefully Victor will be able to move to the 4 with Reath coming in & Robinson having another year of experience.
Hopefully Epps & Bridgewater can keep improving & be solid 6th/7th men, at least until conference play when Hayward, Sims & Mays have had enough time to adjust to college ball.
We should be fine.

Talked to Drake Davis at the game and asked him if he was really playing basketball for LSU. He said that JJ has been recruiting him since the 7th grade. I didnt know he even played BB.

Well he's a freak athlete and listed 6'4 215. If we have another walkon spot at worst case he can be a defensive replacement and run in transition. I doubt he plays tho, he is still raw at football and can use the extra time to get better there.

If TQ leaves I'm hoping one of the non impact guys transfer so we can add a grad transfer. Getting a Experienced pg could be the difference in this team. I know Jenkins can play pg but I still don't think that's enough.

Uh, that's not a bad lineup at all. It doesn't have any superstars, but both Sampson, Blakeney, and Victor are highly regarded recruits. Next year will be a down year for sure, but not a bad team at all.

Really sad to see Blakeney just have an awful awful season. The guy is an elite scorer and elite shooter and he's just been completely off like 10 games in a row.

He's shooting 36% from the floor and 27% from three. Just awful.

They can be a good team IF some freshman step up. They are all seen as 4 year players but we can't wait for them to start making an impact until their soph or junior year. They have to atleast be decent back ups. We also have to see blakeney, Sampson and epps make a jump and hope reath isn't John Odo 2.0
