You guys are crazy to think AB is a viable NBA prospect right now. He's a short SG that has struggled to do much of anything this year. Whoever says he's got good measurables is joking. He may be long but he's too damn short to be a highly coveted SG. His best bet would be PG but even then he's pretty short. Long is good but you need the height to go with it. If you don't have the height then you need to be a damn good shooter, which AB has not proven thus far.

TQ going pro right now is a joke. He wasn't a highly regarded prospect coming out and he has been nothing but inconsistent in his Jr. year. If you think that's what pro teams want you're crazy.

Both have shown a flash or 2 but I expect both to be back next year unless they just do something amazing in March.

Tim Quarterman is an average player at best, do you know how many 6-6 guy in college ball can do what he does and much better

Is this where LSU fans crap on our players only for them to way overshoot them?

Was told by so many that Hamilton, O'Byrant, and Mickey wouldn't get drafted either.

Well, Tim has looked like shite all season except for like 3 games. Blakeney is starting to turn it on...which is good for the team, but it may make him bolt after this year which would suck bad.

And Hamilton is out of the league, JOB will soon follow, and Mickey is chilling in the D-League. All got good paychecks, made a living playing basketball, but not some type of earth shattering game changer. They were all drafted 2nd round by taking a flyer on them. But also, they're big men. There are twice...probably 3 times as many guards as there are big men trying to make the league. It's A LOT harder.

Not crapping on them, just saying. I said it could all change with a hot feb-march. February has started out fairly good for AB but I still don't think he's draft material right this moment.

TQ has had a pretty bad start to February and I just don't believe he is ready either.

Couldn't have said it better myself.

Glad to see someone else have some perspective.

Reath is athletic stretch 4/5 who can block shots. Reath is a super athletic conbo gaurd. Not really a 1 but not really a 2 either. Mays isn't a dominate scorer but he is athletic and his facilitating is his best attribute.

Blakeney has about a 0.0% chance of being drafted in the 1st round. Yeah he might test well but theres plenty of 6'3" guards that can jump high that don't get drafted every year. Not saying he won't leave, but if he does, it will be a really bad decision on his part.

I'm not sure he'd even go in the 2nd right now.

Quarterman has collapsed down draft boards. He'd also be pretty dumb to leave. But he might. Who knows.

blakney is doing exactly what Bradley beal did his only year at florida. Beal came on late and have great second half to season. Much like Blakney has started to do

That's a pretty big exaggeration. He doesn't need to get near a triple double to play well.

What they did in the NBA isn't really important, because we're talking about draft prospects. Hamilton still lasted 2 seasons in the NBA. JOB is a rotation player used in almost every game. And Mickey is bouncing between D-League and Celtics (and has a fantastic guaranteed contract).

While I agree it's much easier for a forward to make it than a guard, my point is that this board is far more critical and negative on our hoops players than reality. I can't tell you how many times I read when these guys left "Leaving early to go to Europe, because he's not going to be playing in the NBA!"

They also cost themselves a couple of million dollars by not coming back and getting guaranteed contracts by improving their draft stock to the first rd(except mickey). You don't make much on your first contracts and that's what most of these guys aren't even making it through.

This is a dumb statement to make anyway. You can make a great living playing basketball overseas. Not NBA money but still more than most people on this board make at the jobs they hate that are trashing these players for wanting to earn a paycheck doing what the love to do.

Blakeney is lighting it up! However, he's not the tallest shooting guard around so another year of improvement and he'll be ready for the duckies.
He is playing better than Simmons at the moment..... BTW: The "hail" emoticon needs to go away compared to the "bow." Maybe 1 is female and the other is male. Just sayin'
