Troy Williams has trimmed his list down, no LSU. Finalist are Louisville, UNC, Indiana, Ohio St., Arkansas, and Alabama.

Is Martin still planning to make his decision on where to committ in the spring?

Yeah. He hasn't started taking officials yet, and he wants to use all 5 of them during basketball season.

Where would this class rank in comparison to best LSU recruiting classes?
Probably around the end of the top 5. Brady had some really strong classes, as did Dale Brown. Hell, Shaq and Maravich alone probably made their classes top 10.

Very high up there.
If we get Martin, Frazier, Quarterman, and hang on to Mickey, we are easily looking at a sweet sixteen team next year.

would be one of the best classes on paper since 2003 (minor, bass, koundjia, neltner, lazare) of course bass was the stud, koundjia and neltner transferred, minor was dismissed after an up and down career and lazare was mainly a reserve but a solid player.
2004 was a nice class considering you had glen davis plus tyrus and temple turned out to be good players.
2007 wasn't bad either with randolph and thornton.
if they add a quarterman/frazier type to this group then they've done extremely well.

How many are we signing again for this class?
Posted on 9/28/12 at 9:43 pm to LSUAlum2001
5 or 6 assuming no attrition.

Damn thats bringing back memories. I use to wonder what would of happened if Bass stayed one more year...that front court (Bass, Thomas, Davis) would of been insane.

would have been very nice. biggest thing that team needed was a true point(lest we forget the valiant efforts of ben voogd) so darrel could have played more off the ball.

Tim Quarterman is supposedly announcing today. I've heard it'll be LSU or George Mason.

Where did you hear he's announcing today?
Posted on 9/30/12 at 12:08 pm to GeorgeTheGreek
Twitter. His coach or someone close to him is telling every analyst he's announcing today.

Tim Quartermann is a Tiger!
