Baseball Recruiting - Brandt Broussard

Does anyone know if we are looking at him for next year? He is absolutely killing it at Delgado CC and is a Sophomore. Currently has a .465 BA and has started all 40 games for them. His dad, Burke Broussard, played his college ball at LSU and was the head baseball coach at University High for many years. I was an assistant baseball coach under him for 2 years. About as 1st class of an individual as you will ever meet.
I really think Brandt would be a good fit for replacing Cole Freeman. What have all of you heard?

ETA: They just added this weekends games to the stat book. He is now at .481. Brandt also played baseball at U-High so this is very familiar territory for him

I haven't seen anything linking us to him. He appears to be uncommitted currently. If he stays uncommitted he could potentially be a late addition candidate based on how the draft goes for us.

I think he would need to put on a little weight first before LSU would take a serious look. He is maybe a buck fifty soaking wet.

Brandt started career at Nicholls before transferring to Delagado. Wonder if there's any thoughts on returning to Thibodaux?

If he's a smart player and can really hit the ball, Marinara doesn't want him. Not his kind of player!
