Anyone know why Anthony Jennings didn't make one of the big games?

I would think that he is one of the top QB's coming out of High School this year....just wondering why he is not in either the Army or UA game. Anyone heard anything regarding this?

Not entirely sure. I know that many of the selections for these games are made before the start of the season - and I know Jennings made more of a splash this summer at the camp circuit and in his final HS campaign this fall than he had previously. I guess the Army/UA games had already selected their guys.

I don't know the answer to your question, but it's an interesting question.
There are 4 main games, that I know of. UA, Army, O/D, and Semper Fi. LSU had commits at each one of these games. Without looking at the rosters for the teams, I would think each team has 3 QBs, so 6 per game. 24 QBs total. So, he could still be considered a top 25 QB in the country and not make one of the games.
Also, I think there are some guys rated lower than him that played in some of the games.

I think the Army AA game has a junior combine and some other camps kids basically have to go to to get noticed. Not sure about the UA game.

I am pretty sure this is correct. But then it just depends on which rankings you look at, I guess...
Either way, it would have been nice to see him up there on the national stage playing against elite competition...oh well, guess I will have to wait for the spring game.

He was originally scheduled to play basketball for his high school before he early enrolled and Bowls like the O/D and Semper Fi were going to invite but didnt becuase of that issue. Then in December Jennings decided he would forgo playing basketball and got locked out of the game because of spots.
O/D was planning on inviting him but were under the impression he was still playing basketball that would conflict.
