He went to Scotlandville and had committed to ULL originally before his senior season. He committed to New Mexico today ( a team I follow), I just wanted to know what the Lobos are getting in him. He visited Tulsa and Utep also so I figured he couldnt be that bad.

Per Lee Roy Lucero of TheRedMenace.com (Scout), he signed with Steve Alford's New Mexico team.

He's a 6'3 shooting guard. He can shoot pretty well but I thought he'd go to a prep school or a juco.

Pancake is a player I've seen quite a few times and I am always caught between really liking his game and questioning if it translates. Let me try to explain.
1) He doesn't attempt a lot of perimeter shots and I am not sure whether it comes from his ability (or lack there of) or his desire to get to the rim. From what I've heard from his teammates that I know or guys who have had him at practices or just know him better, he really has that college 3 ball range or close to it. Hopefully for his sake and the college he attends sake he does.
2) He is relentless and quiet at the same time. Game after game there are a couple plays that happen where I say tell myself, "there it is" but after the game I never walk away thinking he dominated until I see the line. 25 points, 8 rebounds, 3 ast, 2 blks, 5 steals and then I go back to trying to figure him out.
3) I was never really a fan of his and how he translated but I am a fan of players who get it done and game after game after game he gets it done. Losing him is going to hurt Scotlandville more than I thought it would.
