They are at a tournament (City of Palms Tournament) where both teams are playing... If you've seen that video of Simmons ally ooping to himself, Blakeney is at Ben's game also...
They played AAU ball together and seem to be pretty close and I think they are each seeing that they would like to play together.
I just saw a mock draft where neither Mickey nor Martin were listed as first round grade.... Could we have the greatest LSU team in 25 years next year? If everything falls right, it could be scary.

Best case scenario is Mickey and Martin both come back, but even if just one of them comes back and then we get Dominic McGee from Memphis--it'd still be the best team in 25 years once you add Blakeney and Simmons. Add Sampson? You're talking best team in many decades.

Well that's just stupid... You know how much harder it is to get into the NBA from over seas? If you can get a 1st round pick and guaranteed NBA contract, then you can get paid and improve in the states with the eyes of the NBA on you...

Hopefully they aren't that stupid the NBA isn't going anywhere, and it's not like their missing out of guaranteed deals, Stay in school build ur brand.

It would be great, though probably unrealistic. Hornsby will be back next year. Bring in Magee and that's another guy who plays the 2. Sampson and Blakeney both play the 2 as well. That's a very crowded position with guys who all expect to get significant minutes by coming to LSU. I can't see BOTH Blakeney and Sampson coming to LSU.
It's also difficult to see BOTH Mickey and Martin sticking around with Simmons coming in. Simmons is a legitimate one-and-done guy. LSU will make sure he is on the court as much as possible to get everything they can out of him for his one year in town. Conceivably you could have a frontcourt of Martin, Mickey and Simmons, but sorry, I just don't see that happening. Martin doesn't really want to play the 4 and none of them want to be a 5. If both Martin and Mickey stay, one of their minutes is going to get cut pretty significantly considering that they are both playing damn near 40 per game. Maybe you could get them to buy into what Cal has done at UK this year, but it's tough to see that. All of these guys want big minutes, but you can only play 5 at a time.
