LINK McKinley Wright, a pg from Minnesota. We are in his top 3 but I'm not sure if we have offered yet. The other 2 teams are Dayton and Indiana.

By "we" do you mean the University of Minnesota?

I mean LSU. He listed us in his top 3, so obviously we are atleast communicating with him.

He's not ranked high but considering Archie Miller has been all over him since he was at Dayton I would say the guy can play

Yesterday, there was reporting of an offer given to a junior Akron PG, 5'11" 155 lb. Antino Jackson. I'm not sure if he is a senior or graduate transfer who will be able to play right away? Doubt we would offer a player with only one year of eligibility who had to sit out a year. There was a head coaching change at Akron.

Last week, a sophomore PG, 6'2" 175 lb. JUCO Corey Davis was offered.

We seem to be in play for 4 star PF Mayan Kiir who was previously signed by VCU and given his NLI release.

I'm not sure of any other open offers at this time.

We definitely need at least one PF/C (Kiir seems like a great get if he chooses us). The guard and SF situation will depend on which players are remaining on the team from last year.

I Could be wrong, but I'm counting 2.

Sampson, Reath, Blakeney, Robinson, Mays, Hayward, Jenkins, Patterson, Epps, & Sims are on scholarship.

Bridgewater & Eddlestone were Seniors. Vial & Graves have to earn a spot next year.

We're bringing in 2 guys in this recruiting class & we can have 14 total. That leaves 2 spots to fill. I don't follow basketball very closely, so I could be missing something.

Ah. My bad.

Then, yea, it looks like 1 spot available right now.

I'd actually rather get rid of Elbert Robinson & replace him with a JUCO guy if possible. He just doesn't have it. If Wade plans on running more & playing faster, then he really doesn't fit very well.

It's not a good look to kick upcoming Seniors off the team. Maybe if he had already graduated or can this summer, but at this point you should let him finish school. Now if he wanted to transfer, they could let him go. But he has never done anything wrong and does have medical issues. It just wouldn't be right to cast him aside like that. Same thing goes with Patterson, Jenkins and Epps. When guys reach their senior year, I think you let them finish school..

I don't see that in his profile or on any news sites for him.

You shouldn't force seniors off the team, but at the same time, if he's not going to see the floor in Wades system then why shouldn't wade tell him it would be best to transfer? After all, nobody wants to practice everyday and ride the bench

He needs to go somewhere that knows how to use the redshirt year well and will stay on him to lose/keep weight off.

The best place to redshirt as a big man is at Gonzaga. Their S&C guy is very good at helping guys transform their bodies in the year off when they don't have the pressure of playing. It helped with Kelly Olynik, Kyle Wiltjer, and JW III. I don't think Elbert is on the same level as those guys though, so I doubt they would even consider him.

He lost weight a few years ago and he was soft as tissue. He needs to find a system that fits him
