I'm from the Jackson area, played sports here. Everyone within a circle knows everyone. I knew where half of the football guys were going before they ever announced just from talking to my old HS coach who coaches a hand full of the all star games. This is probably the one post to me that has a valid backing. Newman isn't going to state that much Im 87.96% sure of lol

I was in Jackson for State Championship game and got the same vibe from local coaches, people I talked to.

Really good chance I am at MBA this weekend (where Malik played forever before Jackson Tigers) and he's normally there (will be in Chicago for McD though so no go). I'll be sure to see what's going on. If anybody knows anything, they'll be in that gym this weekend. Lol

lol at Pete's numbers. and Shaq's blocks

Imagine their numbers with 3-point shots for Pete(He averaged around 6 from the current distance per game) and 4th seasons for both.

Was thinking the same thing. Can you imagine pistol with a three pt sot? He'd have scored 60 pts a game at least.

I didn't say Stringer knew anything. A family member of Stringer's is very involved in the HS/COL/SEMIPRO circle in Jackson and he called me and told me. His info came directly from people in the know.

Stringer is both 2nd and 9th for 3 point field goals made. Haha. Looks like someone has yet to edit that line and remove it after the 2013 season.

Yeah, looks like it might be State. I guess the kid wants a chance to play in the NIT.

Any thoughts on Howland's Friday hires?

@GoodmanESPN: Ben Howland's staff at Mississippi State to be Korey McCray, Ernie Zeigler & George Brooks.

This is the 4th time he's changed his prediction for him. Went from Kentucky, to Kansas, to LSU, now to State.

Didn't stop people from using it as the justification for their prediction.

Yeah, we'll just have to wait and see. I think freaking out and giving up because Jerry Meyer changed his prediction for the 5th time is unnecessary and foolish. But so is getting excited about it. I don't think anyone knows shite about this recruitment and anyone claiming they do is full of it.

I'm not alluded to his recruitment being over, but I'm certainly not as confident as I was.
