Steele was recruiting him before camp and asked him to come compete. It's obvious he really likes Johnson's potential. Good size and production. As a sophomore he put up some big numbers and was all-state in 6A football. He also had over a 100 tackles a freshman. Has pretty good instincts for the position

Yes he is I watched him play for the past 2 seasons here in Mobile,al. he is a very tough, smart, instinctive player. Great size as well also watch out for Kendrick Haynes of Murphy high here in Mobile he has a LSU offer as well. The class of 2017 LB haul should be very special and what I love Steele has the key to the lock on the fence around Bama!

I thoroughly enjoy watching this guy play. He hunts for contact! Plays with tremendous instincts and hits with authority.
