A Baylor less NCAA basketball tourney can only help LSU and Johnny Jones

with all the LA talent Baylor has gotten recently

Baylor (15-11, 7-7; RPI: 64, SOS: 31)

The Bears are now in a good deal of trouble. They have been swept by both Oklahoma and Iowa State and are definitively "Team No. 6" out of this league. Can they change that? They still host both Kansas schools, so maybe, but room for error is very small at this point.

Still pissed about losing Gathers.

Not really, Gathers is not the stud one and done guy everyone thought he was going to be.

It would be nice to have Gathers but Coleman has filled in and done just as much as Gathers would have this year.

Gathers is small for a power forward and it doesn't look like he's getting any bigger.

He wasn't suppose to be one and done. He was suppose to be a player who dominates with his strength and tenacity a few years down the line. I think he will be a very good player come his junior season.

This is true. Not just because of Gathers, but Drew did a job of building his program to this level on the backs of Louisiana kids. He's definitely gonna go back to the well. But you've got to watch OK ST. I said it was a coup when they got Markel and Brian and 3 years later, they're part of a Top 15 team, and Butch knows they can continue the growth they have by hitting his 2 favorite spots. Louisiana and Dallas. I know they have an offer out to some kid now and they did offer Martin. Just imagine if he were there on that team next year.

JMO, and I know Gathers doesnt have a big role on the Baylor team (they already had 2 good starting bigs)...he would have started on our team this year. We just have no one else in the front court.

Brian

Isn't on the team I believe anymore.

Brown was a huge miss for Trent Johnson. Arguably his worst miss.

Brian is there. Redshirt Sophomore. Just came back in January from a wrist injury. Had 13 at West Virginia Saturday.
