Yes, but Noah Cain is a Baton Rouge native. It's harder to pull from Mississippi.

I'm not trying to tell you how to live your life, but I'm not going to get too excited about this news. People are emotional and we have no idea what triggered her emotions. For all we know, she had a deceased relative who was a die hard tiger fan and she wished that person was alive to witness it. Or, she's a huge SEC fan and we were his first SEC offer.

Why am I stupid for saying I'm not getting too worked up about mom crying about the offer?

I know they're from Baton Rouge. Where were Chris Allen and Dylan Moses from?

Did Landon Collins' mom tear up when he was offered?

Did he transfer to IMG from a BR school or has the family moved away?

If still residing in BR that would be a positive, but not always enough as we have seen recently. Every advantage helps though. Its doubtful either Moses or Allen would have spurned LSU for any other school except Alabama.

Born in BR but moved to Denton, TX and played ball there (not sure when)....I assume immediate family currently resides in Denton or a surrounding area.

The fact that the mother of a five star recruit got emotional and happy with his offer to LSU is a good sign and certainly something worth reporting on a recruiting message board.

I do not think anyone on here who regularly follows recruiting is naïve enough to think the fact mom is happy remotely means her son's enrollment at LSU two years from now is a certainty.

I don't see the need or purpose of raining on a little piece of good news like this. I think we all pretty much understand the fact that a kid has a connection to LSU doesn't guarantee he will come here. It is still information most folks are interested in.

It might be different if the original post had said this meant the kid was coming. It was just a harmless piece of god news. What's better, a report saying the mom is happy with the LSU offer or a report saying mom doesn't want the kid to go to LSU?

Some scuttlebutt about Texas currently leading and Miami firmly in the mix also. Long way to go on this one.

As long as LSU isn't his dream school, we're still good.

LSU shouldn't lose a top RB to a Big 12 school.

Noah Cain is headed to LSU.

I never felt comfortable with Akers or any other back last year except Clyde-Edwards Helaire.

Now, Cain in my eyes is a different ball of wax.

Just take it to the bank, he will be a tiger unless the train truly derails next season and blows up in a nuclear mushroom.

We also get Emery from Destrehan and we are stacked as frick for the next 3 years again.

If Fabian can truly get qualified we have a back that will excel also early.

Things are about to be very very bright around here the next few years.

STFU. Those people got nothing to do with Noah Cain and his mother. Besides, you don't know none of them also.

I actually wasn't on board the train early on when Coach O was hired, because I was reluctant to believe he had learned how to be one (a head coach)--especially after the Ole Miss fiasco.

Yet, the entire time as coach just about he has proven me (and many others) wrong as he has made solid moves across the board.

Now, I want to see it translate next year to a very solid year. If Guice can stay healthy we will be in good shape.
