I could care less about team rankings at this stage. Glad to see us having success and the world recognizing it. But bottoms line I want to some studs to come on board and we start winning on Sat and the play the Monday night game that counts.

Rankings matter more today than they ever have. Recruits want to be part of a program that is continually collecting top talent, and recruiting rankings are the most public display of that continual team talent influx. Like it or not, that's the way it is.
Also, I feel LSU is doing an awesome job of addressing team needs, better than they'd been doing in the past few years.

Its looks as if OSU and FSU have more commits than us at this point so thats good.

I'm not 100% sure but I think with Brandon Martin not reporting and going to junior college it opens a spot for an early enrollee to count against the 2015 class. That would allow us to sign 26 total.

The only way we can sign more than 25 in any given year is if less than 25 enrolled the previous year. Right now that looks to be only one (Brandon Martin) giving us the ability to sign 26 this year. The one extra would have to be an early enrollee and count as a 2015 signing. That is the way I read the rule.

Bama gets the number 1 class every year and i hear bitching and moaning about it. even laughing at them talking about printing t shirts.
Don get me wrong the rankings are cool and nice to have around but i am focused on filling needs with talent. Film don't lie. Rankings do.
If we finish with the #1 class great. But some of you believe more in the rankings than the real deal.
I will celebrate every id that commits like you will. The only thing I like about the rankings is that we will be talked about a lot on NSD.

I agree but that doesn't mean we have to celebrate arbitrary rankings and not the kids.
Once again they are great entertainment and solid reference points but at end of day they mean very little.
DBU notoriety means more than a class rankings. IMO.
