Just curious, where in this film, does Franks display "freakish" ability.

LINK

I've seen Haskins, Henry, and Franks live. The only thing freakish about Franks is his height.

I've seen Franks at camp before. He's got a rocket and moves well and is a giant. He's very fluid for a big guy. He flips the ball 50 yards with a flick of his wrist.

Haskins is the best QB I've seen in this class in person. He does everything well.

No argument on Haskins. Re: franks, having seen him in camp myself, I respectfully disagree. I watched SP out run him in the 40. Out jump him in the vert. And out throw him in the 2014 camp. And again, nothing on his film is "special"

He's freaking legit. I would also have ranked him ahead of Franks based on his readiness to play early and better mechanics. Franks has freakish ability. Haskins has everything you need to win.

I said this back when I first saw him. For the pro style offense Cam/Miles wanted (big arm Mett/Flacco like QB with mobility), Franks was perfect, but needed a couple years no matter the offense

Guys like Patterson and Haskins could show up and play in a spread offense year one. Haskins accuracy is crazy good and it's always been my favorite part, and second is his quick release. He has above average arm strength, and throws to the open guy. Watch him in shorts and shirts and you can see the accuracy and ball placement and touch.

If they could enroll early and learn under Jimbo (please God) a guy like Haskins has a chance to beat out Harris. I'm not giving up on Harris, but it's true that he needs much better competition than he has right now.

I agree. Yet many of the numb-nuts on here were proclaiming him the starter next year. I got bashed for saying he wouldn't play until his Jr/rSo or possibly rJr season here.

Agreed. Haskins and Patterson are the most college ready qbs. Franks will need time, but could be really good. His film doesn't look great, but I thought Franks looked good in person.

Just read on a Maryland board Haskins recently started following Les, Cam, and Frank on Twitter. I expect he will be making an OV to LSU soon.

Not really similar to Harris. Haskins is in my opinion a top 3 QB at least in this class. He's smart and accurate and his a quick release. Seeing him in person, I would guess he's heavier than 185...probably more like 200. Having Franks committed is the only reason we didn't offer him early on. We have kept in contact with him. Honestly, the staff should have offered him and shown no loyalty to a high school kid. Patterson and Haskins have been continually recruited by LSU to some extent. I would say both have a much more college ready game than Franks and would very likely contribute on most campuses within the first 2 years. Haskins is and has been my favourite QB in this class. The only QB I would take instead if him is Patterson, but that family seems to have some baggage.

This is kind of silly. Russell Shepard looked special, but it didn't work out for numerous reasons. Franks' junior year film (most other guys have senior film out there) has him under center the majority of the time. It shows him looking off safeties and putting touch on passes. He does put a little too much air under the ball sometimes, but that does seem to allow his receivers to make plays on the ball. He throws a nice back shoulder fade on one play. On another, he throws a quick seam pass to an undersized TE.

People are letting their butthurt over his decommitment cloud their judgement. He seems perfect for our offense.

Not sure if I want a QB(Franks) that seems to get his feelings hurt so quickly. Not a great trait to have at that spot. Getting Haskins and Scott would be a nice hull but I don't think we would get both. Is the big gun slinger(Dinkgoberry?) in the class of 17' or 18' or 19'?

I've read he's all Maryland.. We're a long way from home. He's the real deal and could possibly win the job right away

I live in Virginia Beach and have a friend that is from his neck of the woods and has seen him play. He thinks he is over rated. I haven't seen any film of him. If I get more insight I will share. I do know that my friend says he is very interested in Maryland. FWIW

He's cousins with Kevin Tolliver and very close friends with Saivion Smith. I think we have a better shot at Haskins than we do at No Chest Franks.

I thought Harris was "Dual Threat". Not sure though.
