Stud. He will start at TE but I think eventually he'll find his way to DE

I actually think he slims down once he gets on campus to better fit what Patterson will ask him to do. He's a really good athlete for being as big as he is. He was an all-district TE as a sophomore and DE as a junior. His dad was a Harlem Globetrotter, so he's got terrific genes.

I almost picked him. He is/was at the top of my board for round 7.

He's the player that I was referring to earlier that the coaches are the most excited about. Chris Petersen said that he has the best ball skills of any player he has ever seen out of high school. He said that they brought him up to their summer camp and he put on a show and just dominated.

Murphy really wants to play CB (which is his best position anyways), so he'll start out there. The coaches want to get him involved in the offense though, so he'll see some time at WR as well. He had 1,700+ yards receiving his Senior year, so he's a good WR as well, plus UW really needs help at that position.

I was very surprised he lasted as long as he did.

jembeurt selects Kash Daniel, ILB Kentucky

This kid was not very highly recruited until the beginning of his SR year. He played ILB as well as QB for his HS team the last two years. Real good athlete who has a great quote to go with him to Kentucky:

quote:

And winning is a subject Daniel is quite passionate about.

"Winning is the only thing. Whoever said winning isn't everything, I'd like to punch that guy in the face," Daniel said. "That's the only thing that is. If you don't win then you lose, and nobody wants to be a loser. My job everyday is to get out and make sure everybody's ready for practice, make sure everybody's going 100 miles per hour in every drill, to get better every day."
