What are everyone's thoughts on Jalyn Patterson? Is this a Robert Nkemdiche like package deal or the kid is underrated?

Patterson had pretty much little to no effect on Ben Simmons. David Patrick is Ben Simmon's godfather so they are basically like family. IF David Patrick wasn't here, Ben Simmons wouldn't be coming here, pretty much.

Patterson is a solid gamer type. I compared him previously to Stringer/Hickey as when he comes in he probably wont be able to do much (Stringer/Hickey were simply forced to play as freshmen)...but over time should get much better. The light turned on for Stringer last season and Hickey as well. I feel like Patterson will be the same in his light will turn on his sophomore or junior season.

Signing Josh is a key factor in LSU flipping 2016 superstar Mark Vital. He is like a younger brother to Josh his older brother Javandin Staves is Josh's best friend and also plays with him at odessa cc.

Mark needs to develop a jump shot before LSU offers him. I've seen Mark play a ton over the past year.

I'm looking forward to seeing him play this year. I hate seeing another Louisiana kid committed to Baylor though.

It will happen his middle school coach now coaches At WMHS and is a former Southland conference player of the year. Saying he is all basketball all day. He is currently working with Mark on his shoot. And again he is like josh little brother trust me josh is my second cousin his mom was my first cousin.

You hit nail right on the head. This will definitely help with mark. Btw mark tore it up during aau this year. Improved his handling and shooting quite a bit! Also added to 10 lbs of muscle to his frame. They will probably be a package deal

I am kind of confused by this. Josh Gray is a 2013 recruit right? How many years is he eligible for? Isn't it likely that these 2 2016 recruits never play on the same team with Gray? Or would it help just in terms of association and familiarity with the program?

Yea sorry. I may have found an answer to my original question. Is he a sophomore this year? So when he gets to campus he has 2 to play 2?

3 to play 2, but that doesn't matter. He's too good to redshirt. Bubba also had a dream school tweet. Don't want to get too excited yet though.

I saw that tweet as well. Hard not to get excited about Gray's recruitment at this point. I'm not sure whether to expect a sudden boom (considering his history of commitments) or a more drawn out recruitment with Gray.

It's either going to happen by Wednesday or we'll have to wait for Spring signing. Hoping Johnny and company can get it done, I didn't follow Gray's recruitment out of HS like a lot of you obviously did but he sounds like the real deal.

Jonah Bolden (2014) tweeted yesterday he was releasing his top colleges today. However, he hasn't tweeted it yet.

The crystal ball for Josh Gray is shifting towards lsu.I'm wondering if Lsu does make the cut for Bolden do they take both or just one.
