I wonder if LSU will be able to make a push for him. He'd be a definite take even with a lot of depth in the post.

Mike Thomas from Ville Platte signed with Kilgore last year. He was supposed to be a '14 but had to reclassify because he'd be too old to play HS this year.

I'm going to try to keep track of him for the '15 class. We may need a boost from a JC big by that time. And he got looks from our staff until the reclassification.

Seeing actually a slow play on the post, have multiple guys with interest in LSU and back, Kasongo and Rees to name a few.

Gerry Blakes (6'4" 2014 Guard) of San Bernardino CC will visit LSU on Aug 28th. He averages 16pts, 4rebs, and 3asts in CC.

I saw Bubba retweeted that Newberry got an Oklahoma St. offer, and some seem to think he ends up there. Anyway, does the coaching staff definetly take Newberry or Blakes in this class?

Watch Booker, Newman in Elite 24 game Clarion Ledger
August 24th, 2013| by John Talty

Two of Mississippi’s best will see how they fare against the nation’s best tonight at the Under Armour Elite 24 game in Brooklyn. The game will be televised live at 6 p.m. CST on ESPNU.

Moss Point senior Devin Booker and Callaway junior Malik Newman were two of 24 players selected from around the country to participate in the game.

Booker, a 6-foot-5, 185-pound shooting guard, will play on Team Coney Island, coached by actor Michael Rapaport and former NBA player Mario Elie. He’ll be joined by highly touted players such as Theo Pinson and Emmanuel Mudiay, who will announce his decision during the game.

The trip to New York has already been a good one for Booker. He won the game’s three-point shooting contest Friday night.

Booker recently announced that he’ll be taking official visits to Michigan State, Kentucky, Michigan and Missouri, in that order.

Newman will play on the opposing team, Team Bed-Stuy. He’ll be coached by Lloyd “Sweet Pea” Daniels and Pearl Washington.
The nation’s top-ranked prospect in the class of 2015 has had a huge summer, impressing at camps and tournaments around the country.

>>>Doesn't sound like Booker is still interested but some might want to watch.

This caught my eye Emmanuel Mudiay Pick SMU over Kentucky

Jeff Goodman ?@GoodmanESPN
Emmanuel Mudiay has chosen SMU over UK, Kansas, Oklahoma State and Baylor. Yes, you read that correctly.

Woah. It makes me happy though. I like when big guys choose the little guys.

Dominic Magee has named a top 5:

Memphis, Kentucky, Kansas State, Oklahoma State, and LSU.

Scared about Kentucky coming in strong after losing out on Mudiay.

Just saw that Magee got a Kentucky offer 3 days ago.

IDK man... Been reading some stuff that makes me feel they are very interested. Said his game is very similar to John Wall's and would fit well...

I believe he's on their board, but I know they have to have Tyus Jones higher than him.

The coldest I've ever been in my entire life was deer hunting in Tullos after Christmas one year. I didn't feel my feet for 3 days.

What school does the kid go to?

Interesting. Has some pretty decent offers. His visit is set for 9/22.
