LINK
This kid is from a school right down the road from me, but I have not seen him play. Before this state title game in the link, a caller on sportstalk was laughed at for suggesting that he would run for 350 yds in the state title game.

He ran for almost 400. He had 7 TDs.

I believe he is a junior, and there is talk of him being the number 1 prospect next year. I really don't follow HS recruiting very closely and I don't think HS football in TN is on the same level as other Southern states, but this could seems to be the real deal. His running style is very smooth, kinda like Hill.

With the turmoil at UT, I wonder what school may get him. Are we looking for another back besides Fournette in that class?

According to Rivals, Hurd is 6-3, 210 and classified as an athlete. He has offers from all over, including Bama, Georgia and Florida, along with Ohio State, among others.

By the end of next season, we will lose Ware, Ford and Blue. If Hill has a strong season, he could go as well. That would leave us with Hilliard and Magee for 2014, if so. I think for the 2014 class, we could use maybe two other RBs besides Fournette. The Peloli (probably butchered his last name) kid is another in-state RB prospect LSU has its eyes on.

Yeah. They've been on him for a while.

I'm not just saying that because someone always pops into a thread about a recruit and says they're going to Bama. This is legit.

Lose Blue and Hilliard--I don't think both will go pro. Doesn't Blue have a Medical RS?

Thanks Project, now that you mention it, I recall hearing that on the radio here. I will have to see him play next year. I could walk to his stadium from my house.

He seems like a good kid.

Kid has offers from seven SEC schools including Bama, UGA, UF, Tenn, OM, MSU,and Vandy. Nothing listed from LSU.

Rivals projects him as potential 5*.

I never put him in the 2014 prospects thread because he has never really mentioned LSU.

He was all-bama over the summer but a tweet has the osu fans thinking he likes them now. ScarletBuckeye.com

2014 RB Jalen Hurd tells me he has a top 3 of #OhioState #Florida #Bama in order. Bama once was leader.

As of now Bama/Ohio St battle and I expect it to stay that way unless Tennessee's new staff really blows him away. Extremely gifted kid. Word as of now is that OSU leads.

I would be just as interested in the members of his OL. The holes his line was opening up were big enough to drive a truck through.

Hurd is 6'3" 200-210; likely to be a safety or WR in college.

Saw this kid play a few weeks ago. Holy shite. He's a once in a decade prospect. Looks like an NFLer playing with toddlers.

Please don't go to Bama.
