After watching some film on the 2013 QBs, I really liked:
Riley Ferguson: His ability to move in the pocket and throw on the run impressed me. Kind of reminds me of Aaron Murray

Connor Feist: Similar to Ferguson, but I was really impressed with his running and ability keep his eyes down field and make accurate throws on the run

Does anyone know anything about these QBs??

thanks!

Thats why I am asking. I am no scout, but just from watching these two in particular I was impressed. Whether they are blue chip or not I am not sure. Know any qbs next year that are high on LSU?

I hope Mett blows it up this year so these upcoming classes don't think LSU is where QBs/WRs go to die..

I think what you said is right. They will probably go OOS for a blue chipper and I think take Damian Williams in-state. While the kid is short for the position, I like what I see from him as a QB.

It becomes extremely difficult to take 2 OOS QBs because if you go that route, you are looking at higher-ranked QBs in that regard.

I would say Ferguson is all Clemson, but they love Chad Kelly. Also, Ferguson's main weapon is Uriah LeMay, brother of Christian LeMay who is now at Georgia so they may come into play later on.

Feist is a great QB and may be available with Texas likely taking Swoopes and A&M with Matt Davis last year and Kohl Stewart this year.

Who do you think we have good realistic chances with?

Feist should be coming to our junior day, so that gives me some hope about our chances.

Too hard to tell this early in the year, but we have a chance with a lot of QBs this year and obviously Kragthorpe has a lot of influence on these recruits.

It will also depend on how well Mett does and if we allow him to throw the ball around. If we show we have the ability to throw the ball with a good QB, it will go a long way with our OOS recruiting

I know I didn't provide any names, but the ones I talked about earlier are the only ones I can think of off the top of my head

I watched some film on Kohl Stewart who is committed to TAM and I was very impressed with him. Unfortunately, I believe he has family ties to the Aggies and he will not be a flippable candidate.

Another baseball risk, along with Jeremy Johnson from what I've heard

Agree. Only caveat I have with Barrett is that if for some reason Swoopes and Texas doesn't work out then Barrett will be their next offer and he will take it. I like him a lot though. I am more hopeful for a pocket passer in this class though.

Not sure we need or will take 1 qbs in 2013. All depends on Randall. If he looks good and begins to develop at QB then no way we take 2 in a small number class. If he gets moved then maybe because there is a chance Randall would transfer. Who knows really.

I like Ferguson particularly if it gives us an in with Lemay and the LB who's last name starts with a K(don't want to butcher the kid's name). He was a Clemson lean but with Kelly and now the 2014 kid that commited Wednesday he may be more open. Watch UNC.

I like Feist but think there are national guys that are better that I'd prefer go after 1st. I would be okay if Feist was the guy but he kind of reminds me of the early talk with Briscoe last year that really turns into nothing.

Feist does not impress me, he seems like a mid tier QB prospect.

That's what I was referencing when I made the Briscoe comment. This time last year Briscoe was all the rage and he ended up a low to mid 3* everywhere but ESPN. His offer list was definitely a low 3* level. Krags does seem high on Feist but while a good, solid qb, we can do better. Williams instate is better imo. I can never remember the kids name but there is another off the radar qb instate the coaches like. Not Bergeron.

Keep an eye out for Kendall Beckwith of East Felicana. He is a pretty good physical specimen that can run and throw pretty well.

Concerns are: he is at small school and will not get much credit from recruiting services for that reason. Level of competition is limited unless he goes through state championship.

I have no idea what his grades are but EF has some of the lowest academic requirements for playing athletics. Only need a 1.5 gpa to play.

I did some checking on Scout based on a previous post and KB is offered from LSU and they are interested in either side of the ball. He says he prefers defense. Not sure what he plays. Doesnt look big enough for DE.
