Saw article on si.com today about this guy DeAnthony Thomas nicknamed Black Mamba and watched a youtube video of him. I hope the video they linked to was from his freshman year bc I've never been less impressed by the "#1" player in the country.

That's only from 1 game. He's pretty nasty but I'd take Farmer over Thomas in terms of California players, although both should be five stars when Rivals rankings come out

Looks much better as a safety than a RB.

Goes down on first contact too much to be a good RB.

Not gonna deny this kid is good but the #1 player in the country should make your jaw drop. If he wasnt nicknamed the Black Mamba and wasn't playing in LA he would be just another quick back. There are several kids in every class w his skills.....Have you seen the video of The Human Lightning Bolt Who Can't Be Tackled? If you sent a video to Scout of a player w that nickname they would give him 5 stars and call him the next Bush

Go back and look @ Adrian Peterson's junior tapes. They look exactly like this kid. He is a junior in high school and you're expecting to see 2005 Reggie Bush on tape.

Not impress Richard Murphy high school highlights were better than this. He runs strait up and doesn't break tackles. NEXT recruit please

Uh, no. Not even close. Peterson's high school highlights are much better than that video.

Just remember, that is not a highlight film...that is his game highlights.

Impressive for playing both ways in one game.

It's hard to judge him based on that video alone. If that's all I have to go by, I don't consider him the #1 player in the country.

This word "sick", I do not think it means what you think it means....

a) those are from Peterson's SENIOR year
b) that is a highlight video, not footage from a whole game
c) Palestine plays in 3A against 3A competition. Crenshaw plays in the highest division in California.

Peterson was dominating 3A talent, this kid dominates at the highest level, and doesn't slow down when he cuts or jukes. Right now you can't show me better junior film from anybody thus the #1 ranking.
