In the class-of-2014, the Tigers are the front-runner to bring home the Land of Lincoln’s top-ranked player according to 247Sports in five-star linebacker Clifton Garrett.
Flip the calendar to 2015, and Les Miles and his staff could have the inside track to land the state’s top player and the nation’s No. 2 prospect overall in defensive lineman Terry Beckner Jr.
Expect Miles and company to soon raise their level of interest in the 6-foot-4, 268-pound Beckner, who is looking forward to hearing more from LSU.
“It’s a great school and has a great football program,” Beckner said.
Beckner has yet to really dive into recruiting, but sources close to the situation continue to indicate that LSU and USC are his top two schools. The Tigers may be getting a head start on what will be a coveted talent.

Few of the top Illinois player are a part of it. They are opening a Core 6 training facility(?) in Louisiana soon

It may have been the link to Pocic and Garret but I doubt he drove 5 hours to train every day.
