Every storm that comes through, tropical storm, hurricane etc. cause low land flooding and levee overtopping around Mytrle Grove, Port Sulpher, etc.. The levee system is not extremely high in that area. This is not unexpected at all.

Nice internet bad arse. How far is Buras from Myrtle Grove or Port Sulfer.

Buras is only about 15 miles south of Myrtle Grove and the levees in Buras are not that much higher than the levees in the Port Sulpher, Mytrle Grove area. You are not talking about much difference there brother.

Also the further south you go, the levees are less high because there is so much less to protect down there.

Wrong, but keep talking out of your arse. River levee is high all the way to Venice.

Myrtle Grove yes its expected there because of low back levees, not river levee. You clearly are talking out of your arse. Please stop.

this is one problem that was unanticipated...the river levees held up well during katrina and gustav as well as last year's floods....

Port Sulpher not Myrtle Grove.

Anyway in a few minutes Nungesser will be out there building a useless sand levee across Hwy 23 south of Belle Chasse telling everyone he is saving the city again.

We have seen this before, actually every time a storm comes through.

Maybe so man, but I have spent a lot of time fishing out of Empire, standing on an oyster dock in Empire, and visiting friends in Jesuit Bend.

Whether I am right or wrong it does not make you a big man to call people names on an internet message board. If you disagree state your case and move on.

No hate at all. But he does tend to get excited about things and attract attention.

But a lot of that is his way of doing things. He understands the squeeky wheel gets the grease, or the money in this case.
