Fat Harry's, the venerable Uptown bar and burger joint at the corner of Napoleon and St. Charles avenues, was damaged in a one-alarm blaze this morning. The cause of the blaze was not immediately known, nor was the extent of the damage, firefighters said.
At least three units responded to the fire.
The fire was out by 8 a.m., though the smell of smoke and burnt wood lingered. A firefighter at the scene said the bar was not open when the fire broke out.
